Oh noes! i am ashamed! i lost to an abel! well, taunting can be a viable tactic, it can piss people off and make them play worse, or you can buffer a motion while taunting, I do that sometimes, however, I guess it must have pissed you off BUT made you play better!
idk who it was against… me and my friends were too busy laughing at the fact that you spammed one button the entire match…if it WAS an abel, then you could have dicked off and experimented in that it is a really bad match up for abel.
if you want some games, im down… just send me an invite when im on
well, I would like to at least think I have some experience with gief, seeing as I’ve mained no one but him since I picked up my copy.
Ofcourse, you must be better, even though there is no proof to say so, the old axiom of people playing previous titles are better no matterwhat than newcomers prevails i guess!
Oh yea, I wait for that first block lariat and catch you in between.
I dont blame you, its an over powered move. If i liked Zangief, I would spam it too. Hopefully Capcom will bring it back to its previous state. I suggest you learn other characters.
it takes alot more talent to play gief in previous iterations of sf… he is sooo noob friendly in sf4.

soooo ultimately, if you say that youve only played gief in sf4, you are not that good, at all. Try to play someone else. A) its more fun B) youd get more respect for playing a character that requires some talent
Actually, the old axiom IS correct due to many factors:
-viable tactics that have carried over from previous games
-viable combos that are carried over
-viable glitches/moves that have carried over
-character hit-boxes that have carried over, remaining consistent so as to know what moves counter what
-match-up specific tactics
-experience in competitive situations
all of these reasons are just the tip of the iceberg that lead to muscle memory for years versus months…which is why, ‘yes’, being a 6 month vet will never be as respectable as being a 6 game vet. You can’t possibly catch up in 6 months what’s taken 6 years to learn.
I believe you that gief is more noob friendly in sf4, but let me tell you, it takes some talent to beat a really good seth/sagat/akuma that runs away for 99 seconds.
No it doesnt, Gief has a lot of health. Seth and Akuma make 1 mistake and you can KO them easy. Sagat is the only bad matchup for Gief and even then you still can win.
I have been actually! I have been learning el fuerte, because hes just so fun and whacky and unexpected, and sagat, because when I am bored of chasing, I can become the chased! And virtually no bad matchups!
However, I will always stick by gief, I’ve been with him for 6 months straight, I might as well stick with him to the end… lol.
