So it has a couple of effects…
The way the League was designed is that only people with Points could participate in the Season Final, to protect the prize pool from say a JWong coming up just for that one event and raping the prize w/o ever having contributed to it.
So by making Portland a League event we do open the possibility of someone coming to that event (since Portland should be large enough to attract OOSers) and then being able to participate in the Season Final.
However, there is also the fact that 10% of the Prize Pool goes to the Season Final event… so the more people we get to come to events in general, the bigger the Season Final prize pool is…

I would say make it a League event to boost that prize pool.
Get OOSers to this thing since it has the possibility of huge sponsors (which I need more of!!!), and has a venue that is first class along with 200 tickets to the Trailblazers game.

Everything about the basics of this Portland event screams HUGE, now we just need to make it HUGE.

I would say League event. It is for Smash (but I have not given them the choice, I just told them it would be hah)

Ok I need some BAD BAD BAD!
Large prize pools count on Sponsors. I will pay a 10% Finders Fee if you hook this event up with a Sponsor.
You need to do a little more then just give me a company name… I need a solid contact and/or the sponsor is already sold on supporting this and talking to me is simply to finalize the deal.
We can not have Food/Beverage sponsors (due to venue). I need cash sponsors more then anything. While swag is good, it does not boost prize pools.

I also have a multi-page one.
70%-85% of sponsor cash donations goes to prizes. 10% (assuming I dont find them) to finder fee and 15% to event expenses. So sponsors are not paying me, they are going to prize pools.

Call of Duty and Halo will both use MLG Rule sets.
Unless something in Black Ops makes it unLANable, it will be Black Ops.

I think the TVA guys will live stream Black Ops… hoping to meet with them in the next week or so to discuss.

I may also have my usual guy do Smash live stream.

I would like to run a LS for all 4 games at the same time since they are claiming they have a 50 Meg connection.

I will have full rules posted for all games in a week or two.
