Why does everyone talk about about having fun killin noobs at this?

Theres some kinds of games that its fun destroying noobs, but fighters arent them. It doesnt make you get better, and its also boring.

Wheres the fun in just slaughtering somebody? I mean, wow, you can beat up on a guy who just started playing for the first time…
Anyways I played a bit of SF2, and I really like this one. Definitely better.

It’s fun destroying noobs in any game.

the most well spent 15$ ever.

This is what I’ve seen too. I think everyone in the game still has a fair shot at winning, especially with all the new players online right now, but I think time will show (my personal opinion, and I hope I’m wrong) fei back towards bottom . My brother mains fei, and it’s a tough battle against T. Hawk.
I’ve been maining DeeJay and Hawk and have been loving the shit out of this game.
Overall, I say it is better.

the only game where slaughtering newbs is really satisfying is Soul Calibur, and that’s because SC scrubs more than any other scrub think they are really good at fighters just because they can spam it up in SC. But even that gets boring after a while.

On topic, HD Remix is the shit. Truly a fantastic game.

Not trying to be a killjoy but people need to play the game longer and see how it turns out before going ZOMG THIS GAME IS THE BEST EVAR!!! Which is what alot of people are doing so far.

Right off the bat, I enjoy it more than vanilla ST so far, but I gotta say…
The sprites outside of E. Honda and a couple others look absolutely fucking terrible.
Balrog shrinking to 2/3rds of his size when he crouches/cr. blocks and Gouki taking up half of the stage during his win pose because he’s obscenely wide is so damn bad. Vega’s sprite looks pretty blah as well.

My only complaint is a propensity for, instead of charge moves and supers to come out, my character will just attack and jump or whatever. But that’s probably more a function of the fact that I’m used to a Sanwa stick, and my 360 is using a Hori. Also the fact its online (since it never happens offline). So whatever.

I agree, but even so, with as jaded as SRK is, when 90% of the people playing something like this actually believe it is superior to its predecessor, which is one of the biggest sacred cows in fighting game history, there’s gotta be something to it.

I can’t remember the last time playing as Akuma was as fun and challenging as this, so yeah, I think it’s better.

It’s been played for 15+ years. This is pretty much ST++ it’s more than OK to start gushing over it.

I can see the points that Sabre made about Fei but I still think Fei is much easier and fun to use now. Even though I didn’t really have problems with him as much in ST. I really do enjoy the cnages they made and his LK flying kick is a good addition agains’t fireball happy people. I do agree that the rekas aren’t as good as before but the added range helps out countering certain long recovery specials/normalks. I’m just repeating what was already mentioned anyways. I love the change to STHD and I think everything should really get teh game for only $15 it’s well worth it. The online (at least on the 360) is pretty impressive I haven’t experienced any bad lag at all which is good. I give the game 2 thumbs up for the new fun factor is has and the for all the new changes. Also ST wasn’t a bad game and I would still play it, but with STHD, it gives the game a new chance for more competition.

Uh, fake fireball is a REALLY good buff. You do realize he can cancel into any other special or super out of it, right?

How can you like vanilla ST better when Claw is WAY too fucking good in that?

Btw, Honda doesn’t own shit in this game. Sorry. Play more. Ryu rapes him in this matchup way more often.

Uh yeah, a lot of us have been playing this game for about 5 days straight and the game is STILL no different from vanilla ST. It just compresses the tier gaps(i.e. Claw vs Gief being more 6:4 than 8:2).

First time I played it I didn’t like it much. Now when I think about it, it really is just like an improved version of ST - and I love ST. Absolutely astounding game, I bought a 360 for it after playing at a friend’s house

It also really grows on you - I just hope it doesn’t turn out to have too much broken stuff

Where are the known bugs for this game? I have read in random threads the loss audio, the life bars glitching (not deducting health and showing three stars) , characters sprites look weird sometimes while they moved.

Anyone else experience this or seen a list?

i think it’s better for more balance, i can see myself playing for a very long time

It’s aight.

EDIT: First fighting game where I can execute command grabs more easily than charge specials.

That’s my only complaint here. The sprites are nicely rendered, but the line art for most characters does look shitty. I know they were just trying to match the hitboxes, but there’s really no excuse at all for for an active throw animation or win pose to look badly proportioned. Why try to match the original art when hit boxes don’t matter? Sagat’s win poses look atrocious. A tall, brawny motherfucker like him can look good in a fighting stance, but not when he’s folding his arms because his legs are suddenly shortened to less than half his total height? That’s bullshit.

Other inexcusable stuff are the excessive dark tones on Fei Long for ALL colors, and Cammy’s flat colors and ugly face.

The blind hud has happened to me about 3 times so far and the loss of audio is pretty common.(This is on XBL btw) Hasnt happened to me on PSN yet but I get randomly disconnected alot more on PSN then I do on XBL.(although it is still a problem on XBL as well). XBL also doesnt have a tournament mode option.

Way better!
