This kind of attitude is what turned off a lot of 3s players to ST in my area.

Chill the fuck out, you’re good so what.

Kuro, if its ranked and the opponent drops, it counts as a loss for both of you I think.

i don’t agree at all. in fact it isn’t anything like the arcade if its all silent n shit. if you want people to shut up you can always play the computer by yourself. it never says anything. seriously, i do think they need an option to mute people though. a little while after my first post i threw a guy ten times and he started callin me a N****R. in time like those, yes, i would like to shut someone up myself.

but an option is better than no option at all.

other than that, i love to hear and show my reactions to the match at hand. i dont want to ever ever EVER play a xbox 360 game and have it feel like a playstation 2 (snk) online game. in other words, a barren waste land of silence where you might as well be playing the computer at home by yourself cause you cant communicate with the players at all. no thanks bro.

not sayin that your the type or anything but im sure a lot of stuck up street fighter players who hold themselves in high regard would looooove if no one talked. those types just hate hearing people say incorrect shit about the game.

i was in one room playin some matches and some random guy started saying how blanka was actually Charlie and that this is fact and cannon in the street fighter story. at that time some jack off started gettin all bent outta shape because he said that this info just isn’t true. he was hot mad! mute can save us from so called scrubs (if scrubs even exist) and whack ass high horse sf players with sticks so far up their asses they cant have fun without everyone acknowledging their superior intellects.

by the way, did i say how much fucking fun this game is?

i love it.

But what about this case:

My bro’s 10, but he loves playing street fighter. However, he’s always had trouble playing II turbo cause his chars (sagat/gief) had strange joystick movements, and his little thumbs can’t molest a PS3 analog pad like some of us older players can. So when HDR dropped, and we played some matches, I kept getting Wakeup SPD’d; It’s taught me to step up my wakeup game as well as helped my brother get over a hurdle for him. Now that he doesn’t have trouble with commands, he can spend more time actually getting the concepts and mechanics down, as can I (like when I play cammy; with my crappy arcade stick it’s so much nicer being able to cannon jump on command, rather than gambling it). It’s pretty much like what Sirlin said way back when, and yeah scrubs will still be scrubs, but for those that want to get better at it, they have a better option now.

And there’s always ranked classic mode :wgrin:

My parents catch me talking to myself cause I lack a mic…

What the fuck are you even bitching about?

**He’s being a supreme deutsche-bag because he doesn’t want new people playing with his precious Zangief. Doesn’t want new people to play period it seems.

I believe he kinda thinks we care whether or not he’s good too.

FaceMeAndBeFellated: I think you should take your bragging to the next level and play some folks on here.

“You have it on 360… I cant use that controller well”

Oh, and nice excuse plug on how awesome you are at ST, but you can only play charge characters on the Xbox 360 pad, which is somehow different from people who just can’t seem to reliably land a 720 or SPD the old way. On a console game no less. Very nice work, cunt swab.**

I’m 30 now and consider myself pretty old school when it comes to Street Fighter 2 specific games as I’ve been playing them since 91.

I think this game is definitely more balanced than Super Turbo, and the graphics are a lot better than the original. However, I wish they would have made Hyper Street Fighter 2 in HD instead. To me, Super Turbo is not the most balanced, greatest, most fun Street Fighter 2 game of all time. I like playing Dee Jay and the Supers are cool to use, but Hyper Fighting had perfect balance, gameplay, music, voices, etc. With Hyper Street Fighter 2, you of course can incorporate that by being able to choose the older characters and even the old music/voices…

The online play though is a great feature and is what really keeps me playing this game. I haven’t played competitive since the 90s tournaments at FFA, but I’ve run across a few really good players online with even one from Japan.

enough of my ranting…

I think he got beat by a 'Gief player who “doesn’t know how to play 'Gief” and got his panties in a bunch for it:rolleyes:

(evil laughs)

FOOLISH FLESH CREATURESS!! I, The Deity, will destroy ALL in SSF2T: HD. (evil laughs)

I fucking hate people spam the same move over & over…my nephew does all just jumping roundhouse & sweeps…I can’t even block it

@AO: Aren’t you too busy smelling feet to play games?

I been playing this on the PS3…But holy crap the Super NES controller works on this game, the button mapping is all odd & there’s no start & selete, so you have to use the PS3 controller to have it switched to Controller 1 to have Start, Selete & the PS button

Stop this retarded elitist nonsense already, I couldn’t be happier about finally having so many people available to play this game, instead of criticizing and making fun of scrubs try teaching them the game, I have found so many OG players with mad skills that survived the boredom of beating me over an over and I learned tons of stuff from them I can now use against other players. When I asked them why they didn’t disconnect, they simply replied they were having fun and also learned a few tricks from me too. I’m 32 and going back to FGs is something I thought will never happen and online, easier controls, re-balances and all this effort is making it possible.

I play kof ever since the original 94 and I’m always happy to get new people into the series instead of making it inaccessible for them.

Can you explain that statement?

Right now at THIS moment, I think that HD Remix minus Akuma is DEFINITELY a better game than Vanilla ST. Just the fact that the Dizzies and damage are so much less random REALLY helps the game be taken more seriously in my mind*. Easier motions I am supportive of, as well as most of the buffs and SOME of the nerfs.

*Note: Vanilla ST was my main fighting game for over two years before Remix came out, and I’ve probably been in 50+ tournaments and around 5 majors for it. So I LOVE real ST. Remix is just better though. (Again, if you ignore how fucking retarded Akuma is.)

You lost to me the other day and sent me a message saying “lol” afterwards, your schtick doesn’t hold a lot of water.

However, I have it on PS3 as well as all the PS2 SF games, and on those controllers, 100% execution rate, and about 95% 360/720 execution rate. Just dont play that one, because I’n not gonna sit for 30 minutes trying to connect to matches, when I could be playing something else.

Thats the difference. They cant do it at all. I’ve been doing for years on PS2 controllers reliably.

I admit on the 360 pad, I cant 2 into 1, I whiff any circular motion move, I cant wake up DP, and if some retard does like a headbutt or Blanka ball from clear across the screen, instead of DP’ing it on sight like I have been for years, I whiff, and a punch comes out, getting me hit.

There is an old tournament thread, from a while ago, where we did AE casuals, and I lost like 3 times in a span of like 3 hours, and this jealous fuck was hating on the Zangief, he didnt even fight, making up excuses that his stick was broke, even though he won Tekken tourney with the same stick.

Doesnt matter if they play if they just suck ass.

This isnt ST. I dont think ST looks or sounds this bad. Anyway, most of the people I’m dogging wouldnt touch real ST anyway.

You wanna play some real SSFT2T HD?

Hook your PC to your VGA port on your 1080p TV, turn on MAME, load ST.

BOOM. Hi Def, widescreen, no lag & not all blurry like a PS2 game. Doesnt look retarded like remix, What more could you want?

If you’re so against upgrades to SFII, why aren’t you playing World Warrior?

Better yet, why is this nigga not still on MAME? Just leave HD: Remix alone. It wasn’t made for your douchey ass. Go back to the “better” one, chief. You won’t be missed like George W. Bush.

Only REAL fighting game players use sticks. GTFO out with your pad. TEH LOSAR!

That’s pretty much what you sound like dude.

(evil laughs)

I allowed you to win. (evil laughs)

Everyone has to suck ass at the beginning, you obviously lack any common sense cause you owned yourself by typing this:

How do you expect someone new to the game to perform the same as someone who’s been “playing for years”?

and…:

Mame has input lag (even the optimized builds like Mame ++)

Go 2df, GGPO OR play the real thing.
