I dont know about anyone else, but Yes Kindgom Hearts 2 works with it, but it will freeze at the Gummi Ship levels. You need to have the Original disc in the drive at the time of the Gummi ships, after that, you can play the levels themselves from the HDD.

As far as transfer, I find that using Winhiip and usb (external usb drive with pstwo slim) is a lot faster than trying to use a network cable or trying to transfer directly from the disc and pstwo drive. In fact, I would never use the direct-from-disc method, as others have stated, puts excess strain on an already frail laser eye and is equal to or slower than other methods of transfer.

Most games will work without any modes, but, if you do need to use a mode, mode 3 seems to work more than the other modes.

On Hdadvanced using “Kill HDA after launch” works well when occasionally running into titles that otherwise won’t work right.

I have only messed with Hdavanced thus far. Is there an easy way to get hdloader on a disc and use it with the PS2?

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

a version of datel’s action replay with some form of usb storage (i used my psp). i used one program to make the save, put it on my psp, then put it on my ps2. it took me about 10 minutes and i’ve never done the exploit before.

Hi, newbie here. I wanted to know about HDAdvance 3.0. ofcourse I have the ethernet adapter, the HDD 40gbSamsung, and HDAdvance 3.0 is arriving soon in the mail. I put the disc in their, install it or whatever. Then I can put in a ps2 game, and send it to HDD by just using the ps2 right? No pc needed?

To install you just eject your HDAdvance disc out and put in the retail version of the game you want and choose install. Personally, I use an external enclosure and connect it to my computer through USB and transfer the game over with WinHipp because it’s faster and doesn’t wear out the laser.

That was debunked messages after that.I didn’t mean it in that context.Basically any kind of software that allows you to transfer files will let you copy your games to the harddrive.

anyone know how to format the HDD? (edit: without connecting it through a computer internally… i don’t have a desktop.)

i have a huge problem. the HDD works fine on the PS2. it works, and i can even put games in it. OTOH it never EVER works on the PC through a USB adapter anymore. it used to work fine, but when i started to use different programs (WinHIIP, etc) it turned to poop. i can’t find the HDD through Disk Management either.

it would be great if i could format through HDloader / HDAdvance.
