Sure okay, I don’t mind paying the ten dollars as its going towards a wonderful cause. Thank you for being able to answer my question, very appreciated. The reason I asked was because I wanted to order some to put into a custom made Poison Ivy arcadestick I have asked B15 to make for me, as soon as he is done with my Skullgirls stick. Hopefully he should have a video of it up in the coming weeks and I shall take pictures of it to up load to the forums.
The one thing I don’t understand about this project is how you plan on mass producing these. I can’t imagine you’re investing in injection molds for each part (unless you’re filthy rich), so are you just having these run an an SLA machine (rapid prototype) using ABS plastic? If so, how will you ever get clean/smooth parts and how will you be able to make them affordable?
EDIT: Just noticed the coating on the prototype parts - are these cast parts?
I think it’s a great product/project. I’m just curious as to how you’re having them produced (I work in design & manufacturing)
Is it possible to upgrade from monster to akuma? Demand for these is higher than I thought
@mdsfx:
To be honest, even I totally get $ 8000 dollars in funding.
We still have to invest a lot of money in the production plan.
But the money we have been prepared.
As for your doubts, "how you Plan on the mass producing these"
Of course, we produce HBFS-30 by injection molds.
I do not know the cost of the injection molds in other countries.
But in Taiwan, this would NOT cost as much as you’ve thought.
In the district I live, may be there are more than 50’s injection molds manufacturers.
You can imagine how intense compete with them.
You can always find the manufacturer suitable for you and the price you can afford.
I can only say that Taiwan is designer’s paradise.

Those new adapters look too sick. Feel even better about my $24 contributed. The wait for these is getting more painful each day.
Man, the news keeps getting better. May as well start sketching out a design for these
Hey Milkshark I love what you have created, I have a question, if I wanted to get The Master and The professional or just 2 Masters, would that be possible and how would I do that?
Hey guys, while checking out information for mechanical keyboards I ran across this nice break down of the Cherry switches going into these buttons. Oh, please note that there are animated images of how the Cherry switches work!
@ Frank
Thank you for your support!
If your wanted to get The Master and The professional or just 2 Masters.
you can do this in a separate contribution.
Please contribute 2 times. ^ _ ^
Unless you does not live in USA or Canada, you need add the shipping fees $ 10.
If the same address, just add $ 10
Thanks!
I know what you mean, I lived for 3 years in Taipei (TianMu area, like 99% of westerners), and I wish I knew more about electronics back then. This a modder’s paradise, and people are really helpful. Damn, I miss those years
Well I’d like to step in here as someone who worked as a designer for an injection mold manufacturer and say that I am impressed. For anyone who doesn’t know, all Sanwa and Seimitsu buttons are made this way.
Was right about to order but I’m a bit confused if I should be contributing 50$ (Master) and that the 10$ is added later on? or should I select “Master” and then have it be 60$ on the total contribution?
Edit: for the shipping
@JuuM:
Yes, you are correct.
If you contribute $ 50 (The Master), and do not live in USA or Canada.
Please add $10 for shipping
Therefore, the total amount was $60 including shipping.
Thanks for your support!
Just a quick question, I understand that the MX switches have holes for standard LEDs but if we’re using the adaptor, will there be holes for the LED leads to go through it?
and while we’re at it, will you consider doing a clear button run in the future?
Clear button or clear switch?
Curious, would the sound dampeners in these buttons fit into a Sanwa button?
touche~
i have not yet touched a clear switch KB sadly
Oh shit! Every day or so I see that range change bit by bit.
Home stretch, guys, only ~$800 to go!
Really hype to see this with under 1k with more than two weeks to go, let’s go guys!
