HBFS-30 New Color Release~All New Arcade Button~Update: 05/10/2014

PaperTigre:
Thank you.
Your funding were a encouragement to me.
About second type of switches.
Absolutely, you can choose the Cherry MX blue keystem.
Please send a Comment or message to me from indiegogo, and tell me what is your choice.

Cherryroms:

Multi-color is very cool.
But I’m very sorry, the first batch of products only had one color.
I am sure that if this project is successful, different colours will come in the future.

Hi Gahrling :
Thank you for your suggestions.
We discuss with our connect wire manufacturer, and we got a conclusion.
the Quick Connect Wire should be the length of 5 cm.
One side of the JST to connect Cherry MX, and the other side is Terminal Lug (W2.8mm) be compatible with the standard quick disconnects.

Looks like this…

pretty cool - & it takes a little bit less effort to actuate… wonder if my habit of resting my fingers on the button layout would accidentally actuate it? happened alot with my hori stick.

Have you contacted Cherry with your proposal? The higher ups at Cherry should at least look at you webpage they might throw you a few dollars. I mean it would be in their best interest if your product was successful so they could expand their product interest and increase sales

I second that. Seems sound and anything helps.

Would it be better to go with something like this that you solder to then having wire extensions I know some people would be ok with wire extensions. but others that like to do super clean mod jobs would not

Mabye you can try Cherry MX Black keystem or Blue keystem to prevent accidental actuate.
They need for more efforts to actuate the button.

or i can stop being such a clutz and stop clawing at my fightstick… like a fish trying to crawl onto dry land - but eitherway good idea!

i don’t really care for the hexagon style buttons. are the buttons going to be hexed?
second question - will these fit in sanwa 30mm button micro switch replacements?

I think He may of meant what if you get the funding but never complete the project.
I’m torn about the Terminal lug option. Yes Its great on existing sticks w/ QD’s, but in a custom, clean install, the JST w/ a longer wire would be better. But for the greater good, the lug is a better option. Hopefully you can find lugs that aren’t so ugly!

2012/07/20 Update !

ABOUT SHIPPING:

All Perks is Free shipping to the USA and Canada !!

i would think that the terminal connectors on the board side would be better off being female terminal instead of male - that way it can be easily used in a junction block, just an idea.

I’m hot for these, but why hex design ? round look so much better

This is Awesome!

Also, I tried watching some of the vids you have posted in your R&D threads, but their marked as private.

Its good to see though that you’ve been working on this project for a while now.

Hex or round either one is nice but most people like the traditional round but the hex isn’t too bad.

No way man he has the right idea its male so people can add these buttons to sticks they already have wired Not everyone owns a Mad Catz stick with a distribution block

^^^^ ditto, the idea now is sound for the majority.

I really like this idea, but I’ve got no clue how these buttons will feel. 2mm is over twice the actuation distance of an osbf.

I think I’ll throw down $24 for a set of six and drop it in one of the cheap hori six button sticks for xbox if I like them. If not, I’m only out a few bucks.
