yeah i know what you mean, my post pointed that out. I just dont get WHY you would PAY to play on BAD sticks. And competition is not really trying to figure out that my roundhouse or weak kick dont work while im being hit with oros 31 hit death combo or being trapped in a corner being aegis refletored into oblivion with Urien. And paying for it.

I don’t play when the buttons don’t work. Most of the times it does. The sticks aren’t perfect, but it’s still playable.
Big tourneys at brians will be good but you need a tech there at all times.
Yeah i know me and Justin were there for our last big tourney. We worked on the cab for about 4 hours the night b4 to get everything perfect. Ask DJB the set up was good and the cab worked well. Its the one showroom that had VC in it.

Thanks for clarifying that. Some people I know in Hilo used to play against some Oahu guys, but that was a long while back. If T6 were to become available, no doubt it would make many people want to play and take up Tekken again but who knows when that will happen.
When T6 hits consoles…it goes into tourney, just like SC IV and SF IV. LOL
There are only 4 of us going up for 3s this year. We’re just going to practice in a small group. HVGL would be overkill. Thanks for the offer though.
It almost seems like if LevIIDX and PSX goes then everybody goes. Or if one of them go then at least some of them go. But if none of them go then no one goes.
Why would that be overkill? Would playing against people with different skills and different techniques be too hard? Would it be too confusing for you guys or something? Throw off your game in some way?
Even if we’re not on your level, playing against different people with different skills might do you some good.

A little bird might have told you something, but this duck would disagree with what you said, since HBB was not the place for competition as far as T5 and DR. Pearlridge Tilt was the place for that. Tilt also hosted the tourneys when the Tekken scene was active. HBB had a Tekken machine but no one played there when T5 or DR was out… all the players were playing at Pearlridge Tilt. With the decline of the Tekken scene, there is no Tekken competition anywhere.
I don’t think HBB will pay for a T6 cab anytime soon, but I don’t know if a T6 cab will be on island anywhere. A shame, since T6 looks amazing.
HBB is great for SF and KOF, no doubt, but it’s not where all the competition is for every game. I don’t play Smash Brothers but I’m pretty sure the competition would be at someone’s house with a console, not at HBB. Same with Guilty Gear… no cab, so all the players played at home or at Zones, right?
So yeah, it’s not completely true that HBB is the only place you should go to get better in games, since HBB doesn’t have all the games people play.

Back on topic, if you are talking about the setup you had for that food donation tourney, it was pretty good. I liked playing ST and it was cool how you had that projector type thing with it. Too bad I couldn’t stick around to play any tourney, but I don’t really care enough about games anymore to have stuck around for it. I was just there to donate some food, but ST on freeplay was fun.
