Have You Found Your Perfect Character?

I haven’t found my perfect character to main yet. I started with Cammy because I played her the most back in SF4 and I love her speedy, rush down style. I find myself bouncing between a bunch of characters, mostly checking out the new characters that are added to the game then going back to others. Lately I have been relying on Laura for her close range control.

OP, yes. That was determined in SF2. However, a previously low tier character like Zangief in the hands of someone more experienced or talented can make you rethink your choice.

Honestly, not finding a character that I can get 100% into has ruined my ability to get really invested in season 2. Losing my main to a litany of unnecessary nerfs to Ryu put me off of him, but I can’t seem to find someone to replace him. I really don’t like Ken very much at all.

It’s sad, because back in SF4, half the cast appealed to me at one point or another. Ken, E.Ryu, Dee Jay, Adon, E.Honda, Makoto, Sakura, the list goes on and on… but in SF5, I can’t seem to get excited about anyone. Kolin is the closest thing I’ve found to a character I like, but setplay characters have always been less interesting to me than characters who rely on a solid neutral game and a solid focus on fundamentals. This definitely isn’t the game for that.

Chun Li?

I found Rashid. He has the perfect assortment of mobility, escape options, defensive options and game plan. In season 1 I fell in love with character due to the incredible synergy in his move set, but Capcom nerfed it, and my appreciation of the character has somewhat diminished. He has a great set of anti-airs, though each is faulty in their own right (HP Mixer will result in trades far too often, people will fall out of a successful anti-air from ex Mixer). He has it all, I believe, except damage. When people complain about lack of defensive options and the ability to deal with pressure, people don’t think of Rashid. People don’t realize those options have been concentrated in Rashid. He has everything he needs - he has an invincible reversal, he can command jump over a person and air eagle spike himself out of the corner. He can go through a person with ex eagle spike. If he can push buttons then he can force him and his opponent out of the corner with WWS xx vskill roll. He has quite a few defensive options and far too many escape options. But no one takes him seriously. A “top tier” character with disproportionately less usage? Something isn’t right about that situation.

No one takes him seriously? Really? Did you skip out on following the competitive scene for the past several months?
There’s almost always a Rashid in the top spots at majors (even a few at a time sometimes). And if you think that’s low, you should consider how many top representatives each character actually has. Rashid is not lacking in representation and people are certainly noticing how good his toolset is.

I won’t feel at home until Sakura is playable.

Ryu is perfect aside from sucking. Plays very well.

I like playing heavy normal zoning characters. What I’ve found is that while that kind of character does exist, they can’t really be utilized in the way I like. This game pretty much demands that you keep your opponent in blockstun and constantly try to steal their turn.

He seems to be referring to the lack of usage in general, not the competitive use. If you look at capcom official stats from september he, and some other very high tier character are still underutilized by the general public. Ibuki is also underutilized, and so are Boxer and Necalli, but in tournaments you’d be hard pressed not to see them appear in top 8 (boxer being the slight exception being mostly popular in the west but not in the east).

Well, my perfect character is returning and a friend of mine was a big fan of Blanka so we’re both very happy right now! I would have also been happy with Poison or Makoto but really Sakura was the one who first charmed me with her determination to improve and her friendly and optimistic personality.

I did back when the game came out. Vega has always been my perfect character and Guile was a great sub. Then Season 2 started and Vega got nerfed so I switched to Balrog because he was the new hotness. Then I just disagreed with how the game was developing with all the guaranteed pressure, +3 normals, and V-Trigger confirmations so I dropped the game completely until recently.

Now I don’t wanna pick up Vega again so I’m having a crisis. I get bored playing Guile for extended periods of time and I’m not great with him yet so I don’t wanna main him. I’m trying really hard to make Zeku work but he’s really challenging for me so far. His pokes feel so stubby.

still waiting for fei long or someone like him to show up. karin is close but her bad antiairs kill it for me. so i just play cammy but it’s not the same.

Chun would be perfect with Upkicks and Lightning Leg’s being safer on block.

Ryu is close to being perfect but is fundamentally broken…

Adon would be perfect but Sagat will be it now

I used to play Guile a lot when I was young and naive.
As I grew old, I finally saw the light and understood that Zangief and I were meant to be.
And I haven’t moved away from him since.

You’re objectively wrong man.

How so?

Well, let me try to explain.

Unlike feed buckets, water buckets should be given a quick scrub and rinse every day before refilling.

Many people use hoses to fill water buckets, particularly when there are several horses to serve, but this method may keep buckets from being cleaned as often as necessary. Buckets belonging to some horses, such as those notorious for dunking their hay, should be cleaned daily with all water-soaked forage discarded.

Other horses manage to contaminate their buckets with fecal material. If this occurs, buckets should be scoured with detergent on every occurrence. If these buckets are unattended to, horses will in time find the water unpalatable, thus discouraging consumption. If forced to drink the water, horses may reinfest themselves with parasites.

Still waiting for this character to return, so no.
