Have we figured out Doom?

Nah. I think he thought Clockwork knew. I don’t think he said he thought Clockwork knew on at least 2 separate occasions that I’m aware of and I don’t think he would do that if he didn’t think that. He probably saw Clockwork do something that looked like he was setting up to use this tech and then assumed that the reason he didn’t use it was because it didn’t pan out. I don’t know.

I’m not convinced that we don’t already know about it. There’s more than 1 piece of Doom tech out there that our community knows of that hasn’t made it into a widely seen stream or video. Basically, if we knew about it but Seth Killian didn’t see that we were talking about something, he would still assume that it’s undiscovered.

It’s possible that Seth was referring to the crossover counter into Doctor Doom’s backthrow with Hidden Missiles assist. I had forgotten about it before, but that’s something that could actually be practical in certain situations, e.g. blocking and punishing Wolverine’s dive kick.

Also, UMvC3 panel when they were going over the changes: Photon Array and Doom Time are now mashable hypers.

Yeah, that sounds very possible. I could see that being caused by a glitch that’s being fixed too. I did not know that you could do this, but there’s a reason I don’t do ground back throws… if you space it wrong, Dr. Doom is in serious trouble. I’ll have to try it out and see how often this completely screws me.

Mashable level 3? Doom for S tier in UMVC3.

For all we know, base damage could be reduced and mashing would allow you to reach its maximum damage, which may be the same as its current level 3 output or slightly more… sort of like Haggar’s rapid abortion punch super…

Could you be more specific? If you’re talking about when he’s in the corner and he’s coming down faster with the laser gun, he’s doing: (launch) sj.M f.H S air dash down + j.H. Foot dive, both the f.H and S versions can be canceled into air dash provided Doom connects the foot dive (on hit or on block) at a certain height (high enough for the air dash to complete). The advantage of whiffing j.H is that it cancels the animation of Doom’s booster jets or whatever as he air dashes downwards, letting him land faster to extend the OTG window. You’ll see Clockw0rk do this using j.L and j.M as well, and while j.M looks cool to do it can actually connect on the way down if you’re in higher levels of X-factor, so stick to j.H.

There’s specifically a combo in the Doom section called “laser gun combo” or something to that effect where after the ADD from the S foot dive he actually juggles with the actual laser and then relaunches a couple times. I’m not really sure how that works either.

Disregard me getting blown up (Mag/dorm/doom). But about 1:14:00 into this recording you can see me use the Hidden missiles Crossover counter > backthrow twice in 1 round. Pretty useful if it works, but it leaves you in quite a vulnerable position if you mess it up.
