Tested VT2 again in Casuals… The different ranges between OZ and YZ just annoyed me. I don’t use VT2 in Old form because I can use dp without problems if there’s no lag,YZ needs it more and VT2 just don’t cover his weak spot, just over his head. I’ve also tried to punish Akuma f+hp overhead special and VT2 loses clean. VT2 needs to be used super late against Akuma fireballs and demon flips, but still isn’t fully invincible how a one shot VT deserve to be. VT1 is still the best choice, at least for me.
I think we can expect buffs…“soon” lol. I think Zeku is already quite good but something is missing to make him tournament material. At the moment, my worst MU is, surprisingly, Juri. Her neutral is better, her offense is very good (easy confirm, safe specials) and her defense is rock solid (reliable aa, st.mk, cr.mk, st.hp , 3f jab, dp). For her, I need to go back to my former main Bison (by the way, I can really feel the tier difference between him and Zeku !). But Zeku is really a cool character and fun to play. Even if I’m hoping for some buffs, I will try to “get gud” (or better) meanwhile.
Urien got: VT2 with activation plus on block, multiple uses, followup combos or resets, good corner carry, parry/armor, fully charged unblockable, can be used as anti-air
…and incredibly enough, it’s not even the craziest VT2 added in AE!!
and Zeku’s bum ass VT2 doesn’t even armor break… what kind of relative balancing is this? there is no justice in this world man…
Last time I tried to walk under I can do it properly like before, maybe I was just tired (I play often at night). After the cr.HP CC you can also go for EX Jakura for a super tricky left right mixup. Didn’t tried the switch into st.LP, nice one, I’m gonna try it. Sounds like the j.mp into st.lp mixup midscreen, probably you don’t even need to use the run-stop, a simple dash could be enough. If the st.lp is done early you should cross under the opponent, otherwise a late one will keep YZ still in front. Possibility are endless here, maybe Capcom gives Zeku these kind of VT’s because he could potentially kill the opponents without abusing the V-meter, but I still think they overestimate the character.
been watching unsung games and he does sometimes Young MP->HP on hit into QCFKK, HK, which is kinda crazy to me but I’m wondering how much gap is there? can’t have bots react on hit in training it seems.
It’s a mini- reset, no one can react to it. Normally Zeku would end that combo with Palm or Hozanto, if the TC hits the opponent can’t imagine a different ender. People most of the time keep crouch block when comboed so ending with EX Overhead kick it’s even smarter. If the opponent blocks high we’re safe anyway,so it’s a win-win situation, very useful when we don’t want to deal with combo scaling. I suggest to do that when Zeku don’t have full meter stocked because the CA comes very often due to the input buffer in this game.
Isn’t bad like many people think, mostly because they don’t know the character that much. Most of them are judging Zeku because of his VTs and that’s wrong. Anyway Capcom absolutely need to improving him, the character is fun, but they give him few things compared to others. Full controlling Zeku means being able to manage 2 characters at the same time, people wants something back from that hard work with him. Capcom can’t create a character slot waste and Zeku was one of the most awaited character of the previous season. They’re going to buff him, hope they know where he need the most.
I used birdie. Then Fang and now zeku. I like struggling but i had a better win rate with fang in s2 and it was a struggle but i managed. With zeku i have fun but damn i win one of every 6 matches. And some match ups seem crazy. I hardly care about V trigger since fang had a shitty one also lol.
I don’t play online that much, but I feel better using Zeku than Karin. Still think the latter is better overall, but Zeku probably fits better my offensive playstyle (I use YZ the most).
