Actually it is just best to buy a good, Industrias Lorenzo (iL Competition/Euro Joystick from Ponyboy, who is now an official iL distributer.
I bought Happ Comp buttons recently (from Ponyboy), they look and feel just like they always have.
I am going with the hybrid, Seimitsu (I prefer it over Sanwa), with Happ Comp buttons for a couple sticks. It might have to travel farther to hit the switch, but it’s never been an issue to me. The main issue I have are the sticks used in the arcades. Not sure if they’re using the new Crhapp, or iL, but I can’t stand 'em. Would rather use Seimitsu, with or without the square gate.
The buttons from happ are easy to tell. If they say SUZO on them, they are their more recent run of buttons, and the Microswitches don’t snap in as well. Though I have not had an issue with them. Except a few squeeky ones from time to time.

My competition has quiet squeaks from time to time, but I know that I have a w hite actuator. Besides the actuator, what else causes the squeak? What makes the iL different from the Happ besides the actuator??

alter microswitch on cherry D42 (blue plunger) and problem will disappear
you can seek different microswitchs: Omron V series…
so cherry KWJ microswitches are bad?

not bad:) but KWJ is bad on new competion
personaly I prefer D42 on joystick, KWJ on pushbuttons.
D42 is very similar very soft, but they have different reflection. they little brake after engagement movement. D42 use original Eurojoystick (in SUZO) and Ultimarc PSL pushbuttons.
Omron V is harder, but they are more durability (50mln - KWJ only 10mln) and evenly click identical

Come on dude was that really necessary? We are talking about Happ joysticks in this thread. Happ joysticks were called crap and the iL joysticks were mentioned as being far superior by someone IN THIS THREAD. At least you could have provided a link or something. It’s not like we walked into a Sanwa thread asking about Happ joysticks, then I could see you saying that.

First off, no it wasn’t necessary. Secondly, no one said that doing a search was “hard to do” so I don’t know where you got that from. Again, my point is that we are in a thread talking about Happ joysticks. People came in here and ripped the hell out of them saying that the iL comps are so much better than “regular Happ comps”…blah blah blah, then when we ask the reason why the “regular comps” suck, I get a crass ass response like “use the search button”. I could see if someone started a THREAD specifically asking about the difference between the two and a forum member posted: “Please use the search button before starting a thread on this subject”. The topic of iL’s being better than comps was brought up in this thread “during the course of conversation” so to speak, so I wanted to know why, and I get told to use the search button. It’s like jumping in a conversation where people are talking about Mac’s and I say: “Mac’s suck, PC’s rule”, then when someone asks me why, I say: “Look it up yourself, there’s plenty of info on the internet”. It’s stupid…period. People just look for a reason to say crap like: “use the search button, LOLzer”!! Anyway, I’ve wasted enough time that I will never get back on this crap…“use the search button” on if that’s what gets you off.
People on the internet are automatically supposed to know everything didnt you know!!!. On the reals tho (a lil off topic) does anyone know where to get wicos p360s? Yes I know they are hard to find and Im desperate for a good 360… Or even that modified actuators and washer. I would give those a try. Ive been looking for a suitable piece of pipe to modify for the actuator but i cant find anything. The biggest thing that bothers me is the grinding of the washer. ima hit up golden NZ also but if anyone has any info i would appreciate.
