Not like it made a difference. The number of regulars we had that played games here was very small. And the ones that did play often enough would rather not go out and spend money on it. Plus really, I think that most of us would rather go to Toronto and play there anyways. The level of competition is way higher and you always learn something new everytime you play there.
True true… still gotta support the local scene though.

I don’t get it, though; Mac players are always whoring the Tekken machines and the 3S machine, not to mention a bunch of other games and the Foos ball machines.
I hope it’s only for the summer.
If not, the Hamilton arcade scene will be completely dead.

Edit: Yes, we rather play at TO, but not all of us will have that luxury. Plus, it’s too far, even if you’re there to play for a while. The trip back and forth is, honestly, not worth it IMO.
The local scene has been dead since Palace and Limeridge closed their arcades.
True, but if you expect to get better, there is only so much that you can do against the computer. You’ve gotta play better comp, and toronto is probably the best place to find consistantly good comp. Even if you go like once a month, I find that it’s more than worth it. Each time I’ve gone, it’s been a great learning experience. :tup:
True, but that doesnt’ mean local players are gonna stop playing, it’s just more of an insentive to keep it up. Things are going to be different now though, since a)Hamiltons lost it’s remaining arcades b)lots of GTASF’s prominent players are taking leave/retiring (IE. C-royd, Nagata Lock). Even though they aren’t really part of the Hamilton scene it still affects us, meaning less tourney’s out of town.
I agree with what your saying here, everytime I go to toronto I learn alot, but then again i’m not practicing that stuff on Toronto players. The people I practice those things I learn on are local players. Unless of course you only play when you go to Toronto, which might be your case.

Hey guys,
To give you the inside scoop on what’s goin on at Mac, the House of Games isn’t being removed entirely, they’re just renovating it. However, rumour has it that they may be turning half of it or more into some kind of cafe (possibly sparked by Bubble Bobble closing their main store and relocating entirely to the HoG), and they may only be keeping a few machines/pool tables around. I don’t know what’s for sure but it’s supposed to be completed by September.
That place was a messy shamble last time i went… it was disgusting in there… dirty… but they had an SF machine so that was cool
