a full dmr should be more then enough if your rocking the plasma pistol.
certain elites never get hit by plasma ever unless you are less than 10 feet away
those certain elites are all you see towards the end of the game.
Ive beaten the game on legendary 3 times now and even generals are very easy to tag with plasma shots. On heroic the only elite that should be hard to kill are the BOBS and there not mandatory to kill. If your having trouble getting bogged down in fights try getting closer. Only certain elites are aggresive and will go after you if you get close, and if your rocking the plasma pistol it isnt a problem.
the game isnt a shooting gallery, get up in there shit and you wont feel so disconnected.
We must be playing different versions of the same game.
If you were being “forced” to use guns on heroic then i think something else is the primary factor here.
LOL if you are taking a shot at my skill. Like I said, I never waste a shot. If I had a BR the whole game, it would have been too easy.
Not bothering to look for weapons chests… yeah that I’m probably guilty of. couldn’t be bothered. didn’t like the campaign much at all.
Finally a goddamed Captain
jeez
like Jarekov said, noob combo FTW!
I did the whole campaign in legendary. Last stage I spent ages trying to complete, but once I had killed everything I realised what I had done wrong. You got to take out those floating aliens that provide all the convey’s with extra sheild. Grunts drops loads of plasmas grenades, and the Elites work in zones, so you can engage 1 at a time if you don’t charge in like a mad man. Radiantsilvergun3 is right too, under each staircase you will find loads of DMR and AR ammo (if I remember correctly the one on the left when you immediately enter the hanger is just AR and grenades, and the one on the far side is full of DMR ammo
Just started playing this last week and loving it so far.
I started the campaign on Legendary and its definitely tough. Takes me about 2 hours to complete a stage. So far I’m on mission 5 or 6, not sure which one. But yeah, some of those Elite guys, generals, whatever (the white/orange ones) are a pain.
I’m too lazy to go to gamefaqs so I’ll just ask here. There’s one achievements that says get 10 kills with the supercombine. Is this a gun? I haven’t seen it yet. Or maybe I have and just never noticed it.
Legendary Hunters + Stealth Elites are completely fair combo. Fuck you bungie… Fuck you…
hunters on this one are hella annoying. and yeah in general it was a tough campaign, not unreasonably so tho. i still had the most trouble with halo 2 on legendary…those fucking snipers. god damn.
The Needler, or Needle Rifle; those two Covenant weapons. The “Supercombine” refers to the explosion of pink mist that occurs when you’ve struck an enemy with enough of their projectiles.
It’s easier with the Needle Rifle, just shoot an unshielded enemy three times and they’re done. Brutes are especially vulnerable to this, as they’re big targets, and they like to rush in.
Randoms in Firefight make me cringe…
Yeah, I don’t know why people were screaming for MM in FF. This mode is best played with friends who aren’t going to pull the normal shit randoms do in MM like betraying you for a weapon or just flat out killing you, or not even play the fucking game.
not taking a shot at your skill at all, your going through the levels too fast and you need to learn to love the other weapons. In every halo there has never been one gun you can roll the whole campaign with, youve always had to switch weapons up and conserve ammo properly since human weapons dont drop sheilds as well as covie ones.
Sorry if i came off as a dick, your first post seemed pretty trollish considering heroic is eat shit easy mode, and hunters are only a threat on legendary.
Which Elite is a BOB? lol. Born on Board?
Bob is the gold ranger elites, some drop datapads.
Also, finally made Major status.
I’m going for the 50 FF matches challenge thingy and about 5-10 of those I got booted cause an idiot ran into my rocket/grenade/line of fire. =/
Also it’s nice seeing the EXP bar move at a good pace compared to being a Warrant Officer(I’m a Captain Grade1 now).
Gold ranger elites with blue visors, they only stay around for 15-45 seconds and then dissapear ( not cloak and walk away, like vanish )
there are 2 BObs per level, you get a medal that can only be seen on bungie.net for killing them called seek and destroy. Alot of people think Bob’s are linked to unlocking something crazy.
Protip: Play Score Attack instead. Still counts as Firefight Matchmaking.
