Abuse the handgun. Let people lower each others’ shields, headshot fools, rinse and repeat.

If you catch someone unawares in melee range, melee them twice. If they run after the first melee, headshot w/ pistol.

Don’t assassinate. A melee in the back still kills in most cases. Assassination is just asking to get Yoinked.

Use the BOXER control scheme. I can’t stress this enough.

You can parry Energy Sword lunges with a well-time melee. Unless Dr. B’s on the giving end, in which case, just embrace sweet release.

Bumper Jumper is the Ideal scheme if you ask me. Having jump and melee on the bumpers is a huge advantage.

The biggest thing in reach is getting used to the dmr. At different ranges you need to adjust your fire rate to compensate for the bloom, Try and get the rythm down for one range first and then get the other ranges down.

I just bought Master Chief’s voice for Firefight. It’s awesome. he actually says things now.

I think I’ll buy Cortana or Johnson’s voice when I have enough Cr. I just use Jorge’s voice for now.

I’m absolutely terrible with the DMR I’m WAY better with the Needle Rifle which is actually fully automatic. Not a whole lot of people know this.

Against my better judgment, I purchased this game with a couple of buddies and popped it in for some multiplayer action. Everyone who said it was way different than the beta was completely right, and I was having a blast! Hell yes.

learn dem maps and how to dmr properly. If you just cannot out dmr someone start strafing and hope they cant deal with it while you chuck nades/sprint and beatdown.

Also running away isnt a bad idea especially if you have a team w/mics.

One thing that is giving me a lot of trouble in Multiplayer dynamic is the fact they fucked around with shield properties(the only halo multiplayer I played before this one was Halo 3). Now, melee damage wont carry over if you haven’t popped their shields yet.

Seems like they just want people to have a second chance in CQC situations, but it fucks me up. ESPECIALLY when Armor Lock is in play, that thing is a bit OP imo. The only thing I’ve seen consistently beat armor lock is the sniper but it’s very rare to have one with you in most gametypes. I should learn the timing to grenade someone the instant their armor lock runs out.

the problem with armor lock is they can end it early so you cant really time it, just back off them a bit and be ready to fuck them up when they get out of it. Its not like they can regain there sheilds when they armor lock, even if they do it the full duration. If they are Armor locking and having a team mate help then your going to have to kill the team mate 2 or just travel in pairs.

Armor lock is only good for avoiding getting stuck and fucking over people who are splatter happy ( morons ). Oh and it really fucks with sword users since the dash cooldown is much higher now.

The only armor ability i use is sprint since i love beating people down/assasinating folks. It adds a huge chunk of fun to my game play.

Armor Lock is great. You can switch to stikys while in Armor Lock and the way you position the camera during the Lock is where your reticule will be when you leave the Lock. I stick people waiting for me to leave Armor Lock pretty often.

Even still it has dissadvantages. If they pop your sheilds and you go Amor Lock it doesn’t last long enough for your sheilds to begin recharging and your a sitting duck. Just start predicting when people are going to lesave Armor Lock and toss a Nade before hand. If you mess up, well toss another. It sucks to use two of them but your gonna put hurt on em eventually and the Nade will herd them in a specific direction or kill them. It’s a really strong ability and useful in most any situation but I don’t think it’s OP or anything…unless its a competent team running Armor Lock then your gonna have trouble. Good Team workd plus Armor Lock is pretty beastly.

Melee needs to carry through shields if they have very little. So silly that it doesn’t.

Hell you know what throws me off more then Armor Lock or even cloak. That fucking Decoy. Earlier today I round a corner and 6 fucking Blue Spartans are bull charging me. I had enough time to yell “Holy Shit!” before I died in a massive hail of grenades and bullets lol

Played alot better today, I went positive overall in about 10 games or so. Still can’t snipe for shit though. Had a game of Team Swat that was great though, it was 2 on 4 and me and the other guy beat all 4 of them. Patrolling that Ivory Tower lol. I like camo myself, crouch walk melee ftw.

I still havent played any multiplayer. Shit, I havent even finished the campaign yet. I think im almost done with it though. Pretty damn fun so far. The enemy AI is pretty crafty at times. Its funny a 6 or 10 hour game (not sure about that) takes me 2 or 3 weeks to finish.

I tried that Firefight mode out the other night, by myself of course. I thought that was pretty fun and I can imagine it being even more fun with people playing with me. I’ll have to hit up my brother-in-law and see if he’ll get down on that shit with me.
