That DSP vid made me cringe just watching it… Of course if you complain the whole dame match about how awful the character is you’re not going to have a very good chance.
Maybe it was to justify his loss or glorify a potential win with a “bad” character.
I admit I do get tired of accidentally doing a “360 + k” when I just want to jump back and lk oil quickly. Anyone have a fix? MAYBE I should actually double tap that shit?
Something that I have been messing around with today is the coward crouch which most people are forgetting we have. If you are having problems with people jumping in, this is a good technique to use, but it takes some practice.
When someone jumps in on you, duck, coward crouch, press down (makes you quickly stand back up), and go for the command grab/u1. Because they have fallen ontop of you the range on the unoiled command grab isnt a big problem.
I thought about this for a bit and am not sure if this is completely safe. Will do some proper testing when I get home and give some results.
You haven’t tried that out? Antiair coward into spd/u1 is one of the first things I tried, and while I only spent a couple minutes on it, it didn’t seem very effective. Hope I’m wrong!
yes the overhead target combo will beat it, but standalone overhead links to beefy combos so they will rarely do this unless they are terrible at timing the link. As the video said, chained normals will beat wakeup DNC.
Here’s my vid looking at uses for Tinshi’s wakeup backdash normal cancel and also showing the auto-teching abilities of Hakan’s oiled toward+roundhouse that a few people first mentioned:
Just want to thank you for all the great finds UD. My copy is finally getting in from Amazon tomorrow and I have a lot to go on already! It’s great to have people so willing to share their info!
DUDE this need more INVESTIGATION i allways used Airgrab as AirtoAir Situational where my Jumping MP would be to late (Antijump) but i never used it as ANTI --> Antiair!! need further tests against the usual suspekts i found out that Hakans Jumpark is a bit lower then the most cast and he can save jumpin against many chars well spaced (unless they walk a bit forward or use Antiair specials) and in addition with his hughe Throwrange a Jumpin is MUCH LESS risky at all!
