Hakan Thread: I love my daughters, they are so pretty!

You do if you are playing nubs  There’s usually enough time to jump over, taunt then throw them, it’s rather amusing :bgrin:

So looks like finding time to oil up will be the hardest thing to do (besides getting in on fireballers perhaps), and as Buktooth said if you oil up then you lose position advantage after knocking down someone  Still, will be fun on a bun :bgrin:

Hakan is truly a very unique character.Like Juri and a little bit more.
Because he is relying so much to his oil up he reminds more of a character to Blazblue (Oil up is like a drive to Hakan.:wink:Drives are the unique moves to each character in Blazblue) and i guess that’s a good thing. It gives him a very very unique gameplay and ability.Because it affects his entire gameplay.Like the Rachel’s wind in some how.
Can anybody can write here his movelist?
I have seen his gameplay and his 2 Ultras but i can’t say how many or what special moves/unique moves he has.
I watched a video from here=> http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/supersf4/videos.html?filter=most_recent&mode=all
(i don’t remember the specific video now…it’s one of them above) and his doing a very bizzare move (like a running or something) and i can’t undestand what type of a move is it.Dash?Special move?Unique move?

Anyhow.
Is that true that his 360 command throw move has a motivation at its start?
I think i saw Hakan to do a small step before catch the opponent.
If its true its very good.

The trailer song is just amazing. I loved my friend’s expression when seeing the trailer, saying “what a waste of a character.” I’m totally going to main him just to beat him over and over! “I guess you should have oiled up!” I love the character design too. That huge ass lion barrel and belt are badass looking.

Anyways, gameplay wise it looks like a good part of it involves getting oiled up. For a grappler though he has a lot of moves that fling the opponent the other way. I would think you would want to keep the enemy close? But then again I guess that’s where the Oil mechanic kicks in. Best way I see it is that Oiling up = Unfly mode Sentinel. I’m excited to try him out. Fuck all the haters.

Of course Capcom has to over exaggerate things. Yes Turkish wrestlers grapple under the sun and I can imagine them getting mad sunburn but not as bad as Hakan  I’m still not entirely conviced that is his real hair… I mean does that mean his mushroom children’s heads are also their real hair too?! They look like helmets! It’s great that we actually have a REAL family man representing street fighter!

If Kuroda ever plays SSF4, I already know he’ll be using this character to shit all over everyone else’s serious characters just like he did with Q.

Q is serious business.

Hakan is the new Octodad.

i prefer the intro where the kids run by scared and then Q falls out of the sky and lands on his feet. wtf

I’m still kind of pissed that Hakan has this well thought out buff system, but Vega’s 2 EX bar mask removal still only grants 10% damage on the next attack :frowning:

do all versions of oil up effect his moves the same way and just have different durations? or does his HK oil up improve his moves more than his LK oil up?

They haven’t said anything about different effects from oil up other than the time is different per button. EX Oil is fireball immune during the animation. And that’s it.

Why do so many people STILL believe this? It’s a permanent 10% damage boost, but Vega also takes 25% extra damage, both modifiers are in effect as long as the mask remains off. The effects are the same if you choose to remove the mask manually, sacrificing 2x EX, or if it’s knocked off of you by blocking/damage/teching/focussing.

Yeah, use this move against Sagat and you’re making him approximately as easy to kill as Ryu, and making yourself as easy to kill as SETH.

Yeah that is some weird-ass hair he’s sporting (looks like big-ass bottle caps stuck to his head), the kids are wearing helmets or something I’m pretty sure, think you can make out their real hair underneath it

It’s his hair, not a helmet. This was confirmed by Seth himself. His daughters have smaller/younger versions of his hair. It’s hair. Let’s be done with this.

Yeah his kids probably wanted to be like their dad so he got them helmets with hair shaped like his because his wife wouldn’t dare for her children to have ugly ass hair like that.

It’s not a helmet. it fuses with his mustache for god’s sake…

The kid’s is hair too.

i say turkish hair rules!

why does capcom have to give their middle eastern/east asian characters wives?

Guile and Ken are from America.

dont change the subject
capcom is racist-

more like jokan, amirite?

Couldnt they just give Hugo some oil to oil up and let him in the game. He is anyways a better grappler.
