I’ll probably go through this entire thread later today, for now, could someone tell me if Hakan has any tools to deal with opponents who jump out of tick throws/on wake up? Gief has st. RH, Hawk has DP, Abel has Falling Sky to an extent. This is very important, almost make it or break it for me.
And for his Ultra 2, does he have to be hit for it to activate, or can you just land on him?
If you can chain Hakan’s normals while oiled up wouldn’t that make Juri’s Ultra 1 rather obsolete? I highly doubt they’d give him something like that for basically free compared to what Juri has to do.
They probably mean light attacks, and then link them to medium attacks. I doubt he could chain to that knockdown f.HK, for example.
I have never been hyped for a characters normals before, but all of Hakans seems very unique XD
You just have to touch him its not counter ultra so if Hakan does U2 and you happen to walk up for lets say a throw and you touch that hit box your getting ultra’d. ( at least thats what i understood from what i read so far)

Land on him. If you touch him at all, you get shit into the wall. Good stuff. So far, might only be that launching grab where he kinda takes a few steps/skips. So who knows if that’s even worth using.
No cross up would be kinda of a bummer for me. With all this knock downs it would be kinda boring not to be able to set a oki with a cross. After that squash throw there seems to be enough time to oil up though.
Who do you think his Rivals will be?
Zangief is a given, but what about his second Rival?
Initially, I was thinking Dan. There could be some laughs in a cutscene between the two “comedy characters”.
After some thought, I think Rufus could be the other Rival. I have an image of Hakan offering Rufus to trade Candy for a couple of camels and Rufus gets pissed off. 
I felt the same way when I first saw the clip…So I watched it a couple more times and decided to wait until the actual finished game is in my hands before passing judgement.
Seems pretty awesome, I really wonder if Ryu/Ken/Dhalsim/Fei/Viper/Akuma/Rose [?] will have extra damage against him when using flame attacks

Actually, they never specified would be definitely be getting two rivals. They said they’d try and fit in as many as possible.
Don’t be surprised if only the old characters end up with two though.
