Hakan Moveset and Attributes

Double post

Wait, so st.lp is what I should be using before I go for the cross up j.hk? And st.mp to trick the other guy because it looks somewhat similar to st.lp? If so, I’ll definitely be using that more. I’ve always done whiff st.mp into j.hk, and I hate getting shoryukened out of it by Ryu. But this video shows it working with whiffed st.mp.

did anyone note that if you coward crouch vega(claw’s)'s rolling thing, you only get hit once, and he pass right through you?

I have to see if its punishable

Just curious, but EX Oil Dive is listed as being unthrowable.

I’ve tested it in training mode many times, and I get thrown.

Is there a special timing?

Only when oiled.

Double post, but still, pretty lol:

Meaty counterhit f.fp can combo into c.mk xx slide. (meaty on wakeup, or meaty as fishing for ch’s)

Wow, that’s…unfortunate.

Okay, thanks.

Someone might want to note that in the first post.

^ I hate to be the bearer of bad news but according to the hitbox data, his oiled EX-Rocket is the same as the dry version (well except the added oil-range of course).

I wish it was throw invincible. According to the data, he doesn’t have any throw invincible moves outside of oily EX-Dive, MK-Super, and Ultras.

Doesnt Fwd+RH have an auto tech built in?

yes, and so far this has only worked once in a match for me. Against Ibuki, she did the command dash, and I tried hitting her during it but she was too fast and tried to throw me.

Yeah and Ultra 2 kills it

Is it well known that Hakans HK Super goes through fireballs at almost full screen? (It’s hard to know where all this info is posted lol)

EDIT:

I know HK Dive super is used for this and above it says MK Super is throw invincible. What is the benefit of using LK Super?

LK-Super is probably the one you’ll use the most… It’s completely invincible to all attacks. Not throws, not projectiles, but all attacks.

still whiffs on crouching attacks, and various attacks that start low and go high, like Dudley’s HK sweep, Akuma’s c.HP, etc…

In regards to the ambiguous cross up: I’ve been sitting in training mode for a good hour now working out the timing, and I’ve found that moving forward even one or two pixels before jumping drastically increased my chances of pulling it off. You can see it at 0:37 of the video posted above. The Hakan will move SLIGHTLY forward before doing lp OR mp and then jumping.

While not moving beforehand does indeed work as shown in the video above, the timing seems downright frustrating.

Hope this helps.

Which is a more safe /better command normal? Low Fierce or towards strong?

Toward+MP hits faster, is cancellable, has more active frames, and ends faster (though, they’re both -5 on block, toward+MP has a shorter overall duration than crouch HP).

Crouch HP does more damage and has slightly better recovery on hit (-1, instead of the -2 that Toward+MP is)…but who cares, lol.

I think Toward+MP is more useful in general.

Alright thanks! That was quick.

Worth mentioning though that cr. HP seems to have a lower active hit box and and as such has better priority than fw. MP in a lot of cases. For example, I like to try to use Cr. HP against Bison after blocked scissor kicks as it can stuff his St. HK spam that would normally beat out a Fw. MP (depending on spacing)

Fw. MP is def better overall due to reasons Lone Dragon mentioned but Cr. HP has its uses for sure.

That’s some interesting matchup knowledge. I’ll remember that.
