Hakan Moveset and Attributes

Not sure if anybody else was aware of this or not, but I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere on this board yet. While watching [media=youtube]6JejWDWhCps"]this video posted in [URL=“http://shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=234760”[/media] by joeca18888, I noticed something at around 5:38…Hakan’s s.FP deflects Ibuki’s kunai. I just went into training and replicated this. It’s easy and he takes no chip damage. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work on any other projectile I’ve tried (all 3 of Akuma’as fireballs and Cody’s rocks).

Kunai isn’t a traditional projectile. It can be hit by pretty much anyone.

Well, my bad then. I haven’t played against many Ibuki’s and didn’t know this. The more you know :3

Here’s preliminary Hakan data… mainly his normals. There are a lot of notes in the Japanese guide but it’ll take some time to translate them. But at least the most important stuff (accurate frames) are there. I’ll update this file soon enoguh!

And guard position = :d::3p:? When it says “All 30 frames” in frame recovery, that means it has instant start-up? What if you hold it for max duration?

C.HK has 3 active frames and 26 recovery frames. Columns are just a bit messed up in that file :stuck_out_tongue:

Did you all know that you can kara his f. HK into an FA that’s untechable?

btw, I didn’t find it myself, I got it from neoempire.

what do you mean by untechable?

Is there a video or guide for the untechable FA? It would be helpful to know the timing and such.

untechable as in they cant throw you out of it?

Well they did find out the oily f+hk is unthrowable, you auto tech out of it.
So I guess if you kara it theres a chance that autotech throw status is still active. Must be quite interesting to see.
Would have been nice if just not throwable and they just whiff and get crumpled

TBH, I haven’t tested it myself yet, I’ll try to find the post of it from neoempire, and I’ll try it myself later.

I think UltraDavid mentioned it in one of his videos but that it’s pretty damn tricky to do so he’s still trying to perfect it.

why wouldn’t you just say unthrowable then?

On another note:
when you use Coward Crouch, the opponent can dash over you.
Had it happen when I was fighting a Sagat, I CC’ed, he dashed and landed next to me, quite a confusing situation.

Please add to the main post that lp and mp slide go under fireballs, and hp slide can go under them if you hit and start the followup before the fireball hits your legs.

LP and MP slide slides the feet under fireballs?
