Hakan is heavily reliant on precise execution in order to be successful. And since his overall margin for error is quite small, something like accidental inputs leading to whiffed moves with high recovery frames makes playing with him much more frustrating than it needs to be. The shortcut or whatever, from a technical standpoint, may be causing these accidental whiffs to occur needs to be fixed before any other buff or tweak is made.

6:18PM PST-Hakan’s oil now stacks and he has a Kick follow-up to Oil. He can reportedly combo standing light kick into Oil.

Hakan can now cancel DDT (reportedly with crouch) and he now has a different follow-up to oil slide. It?s a kick follow-up that automatically oils him up.

Yes we are rewarded…greatly…by the Capcom Gods. There are only a handful of us true Hakan players and even with these changes I still hope there are still a select few. I dont want him to be so…commercial lol. But most people will be turned off by the immediate learning curve and just give up lol.

Whoa, Double HALF-Circle Back is “easier”? That’s going to take forever as anti-air, and it’s gonna be cruel trying to catch cross-ups. I look forward to all the accidental Oil Dives and Showers.

I don’t get two things.

The Kick Slide followup oils himself up. He can already oil up after the slide anyway though? I always slide, lk oil, and am able to block an attack or back dash a grab (sometimes I get hit and am unsure why though, I just blame it on bad timing on my part or something). What’s the point of the new followup if he can already oil
What’s the point of the s.lk combo into Oil Shower? Unless they improve the time it takes to oil up, I imagine he’d be easily punished for doing that

We don’t know how MUCH oil he gets after this new follow-up. Or how much frame advantage he gets. Or how far it leaves him.

Maybe they mean Oil Slide (which would be broken).

But, even if they don’t, the real news is that he can now cancel his standing lk. He couldn’t do that before. So, maybe st.lk xx lk oil Dive uncombos now. That would be easier to hit-confirm into than doing crouch lp xx lk oil Dive uncombo.

I think the double hcb ultra is for Honda u2, not Hakan u2, right? That’s what I read. I hope it’s not hcbx2, I wish it was just any down direction x2.

Perhaps the kick follow-up has a longer oil duration? That’s the only reason I can think of.
