HADOCON II - Saturday, May 7th - MvC3, SSFIV, MK9, CvS2, Jackie Chan and SMK!

Got a few e-mails and PMs about the reg fee and where it’s going. The $5 is Etrium’s venue fee and none of it goes to Hadocon or myself. If any extra money is made from on-site registrations (I hope there is little to none and that everyone registers early online), it will go towards hosting future Hadocon tournaments.

I tried to keep the tournament as low cost as possible, especially with all the big majors just around the corner like NCR and EVO.

Hope that clears things up and see you all Saturday.

The 2v2 format split up the Fresno family where the Street Fighter population is total of 3 players.

How come every game up for votes made it except MvC3 teams? It didn’t get the least votes did it? And weren’t we voting for which game we wanted in, not voting for which game to take out?

If there was MvC3 teams tourney too, I’d be completely confirmed for this. As is, I’m stuck between two tournaments.

I’d love to be able to run two team tourneys on the same day plus the singles tourneys and all the side games, but unfortunately there’s just not enough time to do so. One of the team tourneys had to be cut, and that happened to be MVC3 since it received less votes than SSF4.

Maybe if Hadocon ever turns into a 2-day event we’ll be able to accommodate additional team tournaments and more games. Or you guys can ask John to have MVC3 teams at NCR!

Depends which games you’re entered in. Scheduled times won’t be finalized until Thursday night when online registration closes and I can see the number of people registered for each game.

Tentatively the lineup will be as follows:
12:00pm: MK9 Singles, CvS2, Jackie Chan
1:00pm: SSFIV Teams, SMK
N/A: SSFIV Singles, MVC3 Singles
N/A: Finals for each game

K just a thought because i know to a few its a big match to watch. Would it be alright to have it playing on my laptop to the side somewhere for people who want to catch a few rounds >? I wouldnt want to take away from the matches its just pacquiao vs Mosley.

No restarting. No retries. No quitting.

The event is double elimination. If there’s a tie, the first track of Flower Cup will be used as a tie breaker.

Grand Finals will be best 2/3 Mushroom Cup.

There’s 2 people signed up for MK9 right now. Expected… I dunno. Gamers (also known as laggers) usually wait until the very last min to register or do so in-person because they lagged so bad that they miss online reg, so I can’t give you any estimate until Thursday night.

Either that… or there’s no one really playing MK9.
