All of the edits on this thread can (in theory) work on the original hardware (CPS2) what you’re asking for isn’t.
Doable with some LUA scripting - I’ve for example made a SF2T version of Pasky’s ST HUD lua script which has some rudimentary “Reversal” message display. I think a combo meter shouldn’t be hard, and likewise what you are suggesting…
But yeah, that’s not going to be particularly useful unless you do something more like Pasky’s GGPO overlay kind of thing to be able to use it online.
Trying to use the other KO graphics is starting to annoy me.

The first 2 screens seem to be leftovers from the Japanese version of The Tournament Battle. They translate to “Now Accepting Entries” and “0 Seconds Remaining”.
Theoretically, yes. The raw PCM data isn’t hard to edit, I’ve already done some experimenting with it myself. The harder part will be figuring out the sound driver code.

I know it’s not exactly what the author had in mind when creating this topic but I’m curious to know if it would be possible to change some of the graphics of the game and how (realistically) difficult it would be ? I don’t mean to do HD-style (that’s what HDR is for I guess) but I’d just love to design a bunch of new skins for the character (without affecting the game in any way that matters).
felineki made a post on this topic a while ago with a link that explains a way to open the ST gfx roms on tile molester, but unless someone writes a program that does the conversion and “deconversion” automatically it will not be really viable.

Actually, I raised this on the FBA forums, but is it possible to disable all music somehow? I think its possible with mame but not FBA.
I have a cheat file that removes the music, dunno if it works on fba though. Also, you obviously cant use it online, so its useless…
