I did not have the pleasure of hearing DSP on the mic, however from what I am hearing he sounds hype, which is what I think comentating in this country needs. I am sorry but Skisonic and Bob Marley impersonator are booooorrrriiiiing! I wanted to watch the stream on mute. Yea sure its nice to get explainations sometime like oh this is why that happend or this, but when the match is super hype and all you hear is well because he did this, this happend blah blah blah, I dont wanna hear that, I wanna hear the hype! Thank god these events are not super professional and the comentators are not in a booth by themselfs away from the crowd. Now I am not saying I can do better, infact ive tried it and think it did not go over well. Infact I was probably terrible.
Everyone thinks commentating should be like sports casters on ESPN, but imo that’s boring.
Edit: Id like to add that im not a DSP nuthugger, i do not know the guy. Oh and I think Spooky himself is a great commentator. Everything Spooky is doing is great. Just want to see something new from the commentators.

Ski’s commentary is amazing. It’s not fucking brainless. I don’t blame DSP, commentating isnt easy. But he just kept talking over him. It was getting me mad when I watched that match so I can only imagine how angry ski was. It was a little un called for but something had to be said. And LOL at the exposure of that DSP nut hugger who lied about not knowing who dsp was before winter brawl.

So you all do realize this was a Fighting game tournament, right? Not the “DSP and Skisonic controversial commentary criticism thread.” Nobody owes anybody an apology since nobody is upset about anything, YOU PEOPLE are the ones creating the drama. Just want to say Eric did a great job organizing WB, everyone who volunteered did a great job running the brackets, Vic did a great job with the stream, and the gameplay was top notch. THIS is the way to come back to Street Fighter -with amazing matches from Aquasilk, Wolfkrone, JWong and more. It was a blast even with my arm fucking killing me when I tried to play on Sunday. And it was great to see some familiar faces from the MvC2 days who I haven’t seen in ages, come out for MvC3. I will try to get healthy enough so that I can actually play MvC3 at Final Round. Hope to see you all there.

Yeah due to time constraints, lots of hype matches had to happen simultaneously. I think I was the only person consistently recording so unfortunately most of the matches at the end of the SSF4 tournament weren’t recorded.

Alright Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who showed up. You guys always make me want to go back just to chill.
Shout outs to all the fellow T/Os you guys rock even if we got into pinches because of major teams running at the same time everyone stood calm and kept it running smoothly. Thanks to Big E mostly for giving us the opportunity to help out with the tournament.

Seems my back problems are getting worse. Last week I did something to a nerve in my neck/upper back and have had neck pain, and shooting pain down the righthand side of my shoulder, arm, into my hand, and down my side. My thumb has been completely numb for a week now. It seemed to be getting better but then on Sunday when I woke up, it was way worse. I played one match vs Sanford in the MvC3 tournament and couldn’t even do a basic 4-hit dial-a-combo with Sentinel, so I forfeit all of my matches in MvC3 and ST and just focused on recording/watching/commentary. I’m hoping it will get better with some rest this week, if not I’ll probably have to see a doctor.
