Guys or Girls? What gender style do you prefer for fighting games?

Perfect example is Dead or Alive. The chicks are (almost) all ridiculously good, and anyone who actually looks like they could give someone trouble is weak and lame. I like DoA and all, but come on, people! A little purple-haired broad like Ayane vs. a big professional wrestler / hardcore biker like Bass? All ninjitsu aside, he’s going to be wearing her like an oven mitt!

How about picking the character that fits your style regardless of been a girl or a guy.
Because if you like girls and 360 grapplers your fuck.

It’s all about who looks cool for me. Screw tiers!

Sakura is the coolest female fighter in SF series. :wonder:… Well I just like Shotos and flying ninjas like Ibuki… and “cool” looking charge characters like Charlie/Guile, not Remy.

lol@LuvMyCap… True.

 Damn dude.

Anyways, I’ll go. I typically play more males, but tbh there are just more men in Fighters period. Most girls don’t play that fun. That said, I’ll play Chun, Jam and Sakura across the board.

Whoever hits the hardest…

Hugo/Makoto

HIT! HIT! HIT! STUN! KO!

I play with who I feel right using basically. I have no preference.

That said it depends on the game as well. My main soul calibur character is Cassi, my main 3S is Ken.

If I’m not using the ladies, I lose my power.

I don’t give a damn if they are included in SBO, especially melty crap. If you are into them, thats cool, but as for me:

anime girl fighters= in my opinion.

not all games that are/were in SBO are/were that great (cfj).

Damn right! lol :looney:

Quiet fool, no one cares what you think.

Yes you do, you just don’t realize it.

Shine that shit. Your a pimple on the ass of the marvel boards and not much better around here either.

This probably will be my last post towards you, i’m not particularly proud of encouraging your behavior by responding to it.

I like picking the faggiest male characters. :lovin:

Remy, Anji, Bridget, Benimaru…

Well girls in games are usually high prioritized

thats for real life as well

You say that everytime you talk to me.

see, you just don’t know it yet.

The matrix has you!

I thought chris was a girl at first

edit: so my dream of finally having a girl character in my kick ass team was sadly over

I usually choose a character depending on fighting style… in 3D fighters, I love Chinese martial arts for some reason (Shun Di, Feng Wei, Eileen, Lei Wulong, etc.). In 2D fighters, I don’t get picky, I just choose a character I get comfy with… oh, and I prefer to use female characters in Arcana Heart (haha)

True, but i like to actually like the character i PLAY. Just playing someone who “fits my style” gets me kinda bored of that character, i do enjoy having a character who’s appearance, personality, etc i like. Generally, i’ll play who i’m better at that i still like as a character, but i prefer when my favorite character is the character im best with. Example:
Asuka in Tekken. She’s easily my favorite tekken character, and there’s no contest that she’s my best.
but
Vampire Savior. Lilith is my favorite, but i can’t use her that well, no matter how i try, so i use Bulleta because im better with her and have more fun using her. Granted, i still like her, but i like the character design of Lilith better. It just so happened that i tend to like female character designs in fighters more than male character designs. It seems to work well, as i always find a character for my playstyle.

Dudley >>>> any female character design

except maybe Sakura

It all depends I guess. This is the forumla I usually roll for female characters. The more innocent she looks the deadlier she is. Cassandra, Lilica, Hitomi, Xiaoyu and Felicia. 5 examples of the forumla. It’s mostly spot on. 83% chance of getting it right. With male characters its more of that coolness factor. Like you look at the character and it’s like he seems like a cool character design. Lets give that a try. But at the end of the day, its a fight not a popularity contest. As long as you win the fight, who cares!
