it’s different. a good different imo.
the directional pad/analog stick controls movement. there’s a button for jumping/dashing. there’s another button for switching between targets. and you have the standard attack buttons.
i played the hell out of GvG for the psp and i love all the new gameplay changes and new suits that are being added.
Not really into gundam but that looks like a pretty fun game.

IDK guys the word on the magazine that announced it is that it’s not all that reliable and will print up any old rumour so I’m going to wait until Namco officially announce it and then get excited. However, I have heard that there’s a private beta for the console version going on, although nobody has been able to confirm this as of yet.
damn now I have to pick up a PS3 for this game. I have all the NA VS. gundam games and imported the GVG on the PSP.If its not release here I just import the game.
Excellent news! Only Gundam vs. game I played was Gundam vs. Zeta since that came out in English. Sniff, sniff, I love that game. :lovin: I hope they bring this game over but if not well PS3 is Region Free so it’s all good!

Pretty sure if they do a console/handheld port, there will be more units. That’s what they did for GvG. Unless the game is named gundam dynasty warriors, I don’t see this having a chance of coming out in the US. Namco pretty much have given up on gundam for the western world. I think last vs game to come out for the west was federation vs zeon.
Yeah its been a tradition in the past that when the gundam vs. games come home, they add a ton of new playable units for the home console and i dont see a reason for them to break tradition. Im not good with the exact numbers but i remember in G vs ZG, there were i believe at least 10 new ms added. I think perhaps not as many but a few were added in to the seed game too.

Geez, now I’m thinking of getting a PS3 just for this.
Let’s see… the PSP got 4 extra units. How many should we expect for a port to the PS3? There should be at least one extra unit from Gundam 00 (one of the Thrones? Arche? 00? One of Mr. Bushido’s custom mobile suits?) since it’s the most recent full length TV series. It would be cool if another Gundam X unit made it. Roybea’s Gundam Leopard (or Leopard Destroy) with Ennil El’s Esperanza mobile armour as a support unit would make a balanced addition to the roster.
Too bad there’s virtually no chance of Gundams that exist outside of an anime show making an appearance in one of these types of games. Seeing Crossbone Gundam would have made my day. Since Kappei Yamaguchi did voice the lead protagonist Tobia in Crossbone Gundam’s appearance in one of those SD Gundam games, it probably wouldn’t have been too hard to insert him into the game but I guess the licensing to use the Crossbone Gundam would have been too much.
I don’t know. Just me I’m pretty much going back to my old “Wait one year before importing anything” routine just in case. Cross Edge, Super Robot Wars OG Saga Endless Frontier, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Fate/Unlimited Codes… Well let’s just say this last year has proven to be hella surprising with games I thought didn’t stand a snowball’s chance of coming here… actually coming here…
I know Namco really sucks with this sort of thing, but they were involved with Super Robot Wars and Cross Edge (not heavily involved though) and I thought the mere mention of their name meant “NOT COMING TO THE US FAT CHANCE” and was pleasantly proven wrong twice.
I could be wrong this time, hell I probably am wrong. But better to wait for 365 days just to be on the safe side. :wonder:
ACE 3 has VS mode (and Co-op), ACE 2 has VS but no Co-op, ACE1 doesn’t have either
Damn this game looks freaking awesome. I remember seeing some of the older ones not beeing all that interested in them but this one looks like Virtual On. Im getting this game for sure. Well as long as they’ve got some good Mobile Fighter G Gundams and Gundam Wings in there somewhere It’s as good as mine.
I loved GvsG on psp but PS3!?!?!?! I will import this game if I have to, man it’s the ultimate gundam game. :lovin:
