Your inspiring to me Bro, I’m glad that worked out with finding the right person to complete the mod. One thing that really sold me is his pricing. $90 dollars to dual mod a Hitbox with SOCD cleaner is really cheap if you ask me. Let me know how that works for you when you receive your controller. Thanks, and yeah, Gummo’s prices are cheap. Especially considering the prices of peripherals “specifically designed” for physically challenged individuals. For example:
$149.99 for BenHeck’s Access controller. I had one and to put it mildly, it wasn’t the best

@Gummo, how much would it cost for you to mod a PS3 hitBOX with a Neutrik RJ45 jack? I’m suggesting this mod to my brother who just bought one after hearing about the issues with random disconnections. Thanks in advance!

Hmmm. I think I asked for the wrong type of mod. What if I wanted to keep it PS3 and disregard the dual mod, since my brother and I only have/play on a PS3. We’re just looking to install an RJ45 or Neutrik NAUSB-W-B A/B USB Feed-Through (like it’s done here: Hit Box - We so S Tier1!) to hopefully eliminate any random disconnects. Is the dual mod a requirement to make this kind of connection work?
Would dual-modding a Hori SCV stick cost the same as the HRAP?

Oh, no a dual mod isn’t needed to have a RJ45 jack installed. $30 + shipping for the standalone service for that with jack included. Make sure to include the usb cable too so it can be converted.

Sweet. Thanks for the clarification! I’ll let you know if the disconnects become a big problem in functionality and form. Their more recent hitBOXes feature a slightly new case design, which is supposed to be more secure to help with the DCs. It’s got black plastic tabs (for the white ones at least) instead of bolts and apparently the base is more stable. haha

Finished converting a wired MS 360 pad into a wired ps3 controller (all buttons functional except left and right analog sticks) for HadoukenMD.
