Yes, but there are limitations to the official controllers. For 360, I can only dual mod the late version wireless pads plus the analog sticks won’t work on ps3. I can dual mod the sixaxis, but the analog sticks won’t work on either system.

This is the third Hori Fighting Commander 3 Pro dual mod I’ve done so far. The trigger swap switch functions on both ps3 and 360.

I purchased a Dual Strike SMD from you at Season’s Beatings last year, and am doing a dual mod for a regular microsoft XBox 360 wired controller. It is the common ground style, so it is possible, but I was wondering what to do with the D-, D+, XD-, and XD+ points on the board if I 'm planning on still using the original USB cord in the pad. Also I assume that the analogs don’t function on PS3, but the stick clicks do? I assume that is what the “rt” and “lt” stood for…
The Wired Microsoft Xbox 360 is actually not Common Ground, but Common Voltage.
So using in Dual Mod will not work.
rt and lt on the Dual Strike SMD is for Trigger Invert of RT and LT.
It is not for the clicks.

Is there a comparable aftermarket pad that you know of that feels like the 360 wired but is common ground? My client uses the 360 D-pad to play SFIV.
There’s a wired 360 pad clone on ebay that feels and looks exactly like the MS pad. It is common ground, but I did run into a funky issue with it when I tried using it in a dual mod. Something weird was causing the analog stick to behave funny and I think I had to use diodes on the button signals to prevent that.
How much would it cost my client to have you dual mod one of those for him and bring it to Season’s Beatings this year? Let me know the cost and I’ll explain everything to him and see if I can’t get you the business instead, and I’ll just dual-mod one of my fightpads with the dual strike instead.
Also how much would it cost for the controller and shipping to have you ship me a chinese knockoff controller and the diodes needed? Just in case he balks at your overall price. He is a friend of mine so I would do the modding for free if neccessary and just charge him what you charge me for the controller and enough to cover my dual strike SMD.
