I picked my copy up from Gamestop for $5. It’s still a great game, and sadly the only option for those with an Xbox. I hopped on for a while earlier today and to my surprise found someone to fight online.
I am curious though, games that are available for download on LIVE, do they share servers with the original disc games?

Yes you can, it doesn’t matter if you are on the regular xbox or the xbox 360.

I love this game, had it for years, me an my roommate would play for hours, but unfortunatally the net play was so horriably laggy it was unplayable, and at the time we had 8mb/s cable internet. So I got my hopes up when they released it for XBL, “oh joy! maby they fixed the net play!” Tried it with my old disk, still laggy, so out of desperation (and I guess a little self-hate) I downloaded the XBL version as well to see if they fixed it in that version…sadly, no such luck, no other game I have ever played has lagged so much, I curled up in a ball and cred for 3 hours.
the lag for this game is not even that bad: just do ur moves ahead of time. If the network for a certain player says BAD then dont play them. Also it’s fairly active i say about a 5 minute wait for sumone to get online at the right time.
gman and shintao my game just arrived today but there was no one online at the times i went on. But ill add you guys later on. My connection is very good so if yours is too there should be no lag
GG to RedMage(insert random numbers here). It wasent too bad as far as lag, only about 1.5 seconds on my end. Maby next time ill give you something resembling a challenge, lol. Just gotta get used to the lag.
