So can american arcades get this or hell no
I’m definitely hyped, but I’ve been thinking… what’s the point of giving Chipp FB Beta Blade?
Even if it has shitloads of invincibility, you clearly can’t do anything afterwards as the opponent gets shot up in the air, meaning no followup or oki. I guess it’ll help him finish those generic air combos he sometimes gets? The other two FBs look like they’ll be more useful.
Why does Testament get all the nice things…
More damage as a combo ender, I guess. Plus we don’t get to see how long its untech time is, followups may be a possibility.
So if no one understood the Eddie buff, it means that he can have Lil Eddie out…FOR TWICE AS LONG. Even more bothersome is the fact that after applying pressure and unblockables, Eddie players like to call Lil Eddie back and re-initaite on chance to conserve the meter…which means that when they re-initiate with Lil Eddie again they won’t have gauge problems because you would potentially still have a full guage left.
Maybe Arcsys are taking a cool approach where they buff everyone, bring them to the loketests and see what they need to subtract from there. Otherwise Millia, Eddie, Testy, May and potentially Potemkin are taking the absolute piss.
This is untrue. If only for the fact that there are so many players for each character and they all play the character so differently. GG characters aren’t tied down to generalizations; the game is such that you couldn’t play a character like the next person no matter how hard you try…while in other 2D fighters you can’t play differently enough from the next person no matter how hard you try coughsfivcough
There is too much variation and ‘correct answers’ and there are always great players who go against textbook style to great success. Like, compare KA2 and Kazu to players like Mike and Hamashoo…then note that while KA2 and Kazu are systematic/simple, their still playstyles are still distinctively different; same with Hamashoo and Mike, both are RTSD but Hamashoo’s more controlled and his blockstring pressure is unrivaled while Mike is more unpredictive at all given moments…and he WILL hit you with Dust.
I’m talking about how certain tools overshadow all the rest. For example with Jam will always prefer a charge K over the other options as it allows her to get into the corner loop from a midscreen hit.
Or how May uses her meter mostly to convert a basic chain into loop for big damage, using the FB dolphin.
I think this will always be the case with any fighting game though; thing is, other options are still viable enough. Speaking for Jam (since I main her); her Ryuujin is indeed used alot, but it’s mostly a hit-confirm; for damage; taking the opponent to the corner but isn’t so easy to land, incredibly unsafe for pressure and has pretty much no mix-up potential; however her charged Gekirin is a much better mix-up/pressure tool, and is a good way to end a combo since it guarantees a KD.
Her DP charge is not as useful as the rest, but it is actually excellent for closing out rounds towards the end of an opponents lifebar once guts and prorations start kicking in…and the thing is you will find yourself in these situations more often than not. You saw it alot pre-AC and you would still see it depending on who you’re watching.
I don’t mind a character having tools that overshadow others as long as those other tools still have some fairly common use.
i think the real winners are kliff & justice.
now that they’re selectable in the arcade, people can actually play them now.
and reading over the change list, you can tell that arc really wants to get some use out of those unused EX character sprites.

He is using a PS2 gamepad and a PC with windows 7: That’s EXACTLY how I like my GG.
Japan is gonna put this o Nesica, so no.
WHY JAPAN, WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO US?! DON’T YOU KNOW WE LOVE YOU!!!
You know that Testament was only top tier in AC, and not in any of the previous versions.
Yeah, I heard he was the worse character in Slash.
Actually I think he was mid or high-mid in Slash, but he was low tier in Reload and garbage tier in the older versions. Testament has come a long way.
Except there are all those “RINGEDGE” logos. So no, it won’t be on Nesica.
it seems that you missed the big Ringedge 2 over the ggac+r logo at the end of the trailer
high mid iirc, and mid low/low high on #reload
the worse on slash was hos or zappa im not sure, hell, even zato was low maybe mid low im not sure right now
dont let the highlander troll yall with sarcasm

So? Are we talking about those outdated versions? Didn’t think so.
AC and AC+R are the only versions Testament ever received the nicest things. I want to be able to play favorite characters without automatically being labeled a tier whore. Thanks in advance.
