The Potemkin/Panzerfaust thing was probably just a simple coincidence, no need to dwell on their similarities.
The problem is that a lot of SG fans like to think that it is some sort of influence/tribute/nod/rip off/etcā¦

People seem to be unconscious of the fact that these characters are still the products of artists with a distinct creative vision. Just because theyāre being produced for a commodity doesnāt mean the artists shouldnāt heed restraint. If they didnāt redesign a character - it may be because they felt said character didnāt need one*. I respect that.
*Or they feel like said characterās alternate costume will be a primary driver of some DLC scheme.
As long as they dont give Johnny that terrible redesign with the beard and shit I dont really care about any other characters getting redesigned.
