Still kinda ho hum about the art style. It’s better than having super bulky SFIV characters, but it’s almost too cel shaded for me. I guess it’ll click more once more characters come out.
Always loved the grungy industrial style to the HUD and menu of GG. Xrd just seems to be playing on that again, but in a little more… I dunno, flashy way.
hope the circular thing doesn’t end up being revenge meter or anything dumb like that. personally, i’d be happier if the tension bar would be improved by either visibly segmenting it or having some small indicator or number appear where the divisions between invisible segments are once the bar fills past those points. i never thought having colours only was a good concept, and i wonder how colour-blind players handled that all this time. the other pic is weird because it looks segmented, but it could just be an animated effect on the bar. plus sol’s bar has more than 50% but doesn’t show a visual indication of that compared to ky’s. maybe ky’s is above 50% too but it’s hard to tell.
I know that, but Baldhead and Faust have enough differences to be viable as different characters. If I remember correctly, Baldhead has a much better damage output than Faust does, but Faust’s ranged game is significantly better because of items and teleport doors.
Faust and Baldhead are basically the same. No reason to make them seperate except for maybe a different model/costume thing.
Kind of dissapointed to see that Eddie is still using Zato-1’s body, was hoping they’d go off that ending where Eddie realizes he can live on without using a human host.
Oh well. There goes the potential of running Faust/Baldhead/Robo-Ky if they bring back that fun 3v3 mode. A Baldhead costume would be nice. As long as we can get a remix of either Faust’s Korean XX theme or Baldhead’s theme, I will be very pleased.
Eddie in Zato’s body is kind of an iconic look for the character. Aside from Millia (in the trailer) and Faust, Arc Systems tends to avoid major character overhauls. Maybe Millia’s type of change will prove to be the norm for the returning roster, but I find that somewhat unlikely.
