Do we have any Europe players in this thread at all? All of my gaming buddies are over on Steam and aren’t grabbing a PS4, I could use a few players that are local to me to get some matches in, I’m still pretty new to GG and I’m definitely below average at this point, need some people to help step up my game.

So if I get the PS3 version, will it be watered down gameplay wise?
I can live with the PS3 720p vs PS4 1080p difference…but is the PS3 version going to be inferior in other ways?
Nothing like that so far. We will have to test it on release to see if there are any glitch/lag issues, but Arc is aiming for a nearly identical version.

So yeah, I hear Bridget’s not in this one. Any talk of DLC characters? I would hope Jam’s at least going to be returning. Need to use someone other than I-No.
People need to relax on X old character not being in Xrd. The devs already stated that characters had to be cut due to budget reasons. The budget Xrd received was pretty tiny hence why they used the unreal engine. If Xrd does well financially then you can definitely expect a sequel with more returning characters.
I honestly just don’t know much. I’d play Accent Core on my PSP between college classes, but that’s about it. Now I’ve got a stick and I want to play competitively. Overjoyed for a PS3 release, it means companies still have faith in PS3 releases, which means I don’t have to drop 300+ just yet.
That doesn’t ease the pain at all. I’m still pissed that Baiken isn’t in it as she was my secondary.
Considering that we know there are going to be two paid DLC characters before the game is even out, I’d imagine that we’ll get a lot of the cast back as paid updates. Johnny being a NPC Makes me confident enough to bet money on him being DLC. I’d imagine that they’d save baiken and anji for the next expansion when they can be relevant story-wise.
EDIT: Come on, big sales, daddy needs a PC port!

I would doubt any old characters would be DLC. That would kinda hurt. My guess is Dr. Paradigm is the next DLC. He is featured in the newest trailer, with a model that moves around and his VO was credit on their BlazBlue radio-whateverthing. Plus you can’t have Johnny without Dizzy, and you can’t have Dizzy without Testament.
And you can’t have Baiken without Anji. Or Jam without Robo-Ky.

I can take just about any of those characters without the other. I don’t need Anji to have Baiken…like at all.
I mean story wise. Which is what motivated the current selection of characters.
I doubt that. There’s no real reason to have Slayer in the game other than just having him there. Milla and Venom don’t need Zato to remain relevant.
One of the reasons. The other prime directive driving character selection was to include as large a variety of playstyles as possible and secondly to bring characters that see actual play (aka NOT Bridget)
An updated version a year or two down the road with a more fulfilling cast would be cool, but not something I’d be hampering for unless the online play is completely dominated by certain characters.
PS4 arrives today, can’t wait to get my hands on the demo and give it a test drive. Too bad I have no stick
On another note, has anybody seen the Sanwa Xrd stick? It’s the dopest stick I’ve ever seen.
I don’t want GG with a large cast. The game is so matchup-heavy a large cast means anyone can just lose to a random asspull.
If you really believe there wont be any updates to GGXrd in the next year until ultimately we have a 20+ roster you got another thing coming.
This is just so you can get a taste of Xrd. In 2 years we will have Xrd##+$%%&*^()!@ with pretty much everyone.
I just hope Testament is one of the first old characters brought back.
