Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- one of life's gilty pleasures

I would argue SPD should be a “360” because it’s an extremely powerful move, and thus should be harder to do. QCB is a really easy input for a move THAT powerful. A huge chunk of life and hard knock down for a QCB input? I dunno man.

Saisyu in 98 gets a hard kncodown into an ambiguous roll setup on oki off of a DP he can confirm off of lights. Hell, if you’re good with links he gets 35% from a cr.B into the same DP that gives him the hard knockdown. If you balance characters according to their strengths and weaknesses you can absolutely give them really strong tools like that because it still wouldn’t be broken. If SF had really diverse character designs you could let Gief combo into his SPD and it wouldn’t even matter in the grand scheme of things because he’d be the same character that can get his reward for closing the gap more consistently and that’s about it.

This would be the new taunt.

On old builds of Xrd you could YRC your Taunt
I don’t know if they took it out on the recent build, but i know for sure that if is still on, it can lead to silly stuff like cancelling your action into taunt to YRC it instead of doing a RRC, is one of the possibilities if is still on

kusoru mix ups inbound

It seems that the game will be out on feb 20

Already confirmed by Dengeki Online.

Even if it was a 360, it would be just as easy to use. The real damage from moves like Pot Buster is the FRC, which in itself is…Problematic. for me.

I think the actual moves in GG aren’t the problem. It’s all timing. Everything is timing. Whether it be a Sidewinder loop. Dustloop, Slayer links, FRC’s etc.

It’s cool seeing Xrd being officially released on my birthday…patiently waits for YT uploads and streams

Since YRC is RC in the start up, I’d YRC VV 4 times in a person’s face then wild throw them. Can’t wait

I was mainly talking in the SF environment heh. In other games it tends to be completely different.

There are moves that can’t be YRC, VV is one of them.
Also, Elven has said that you can’t YRC a move during combos/blockstrings, if the oponent is on blockstun/hitstun you get a RRC

i am sad

I assume you get RRC’s if the opponent is in stun so YRC projectiles aren’t the best in every case during pressure, or YRC>throw/low mixups. But man, this is going to hurt I-no, since she won’t get 25% HCL things anymore.

At least shell have other things though. Like HCL follow-up>meterless in the corner, if that’s still in from that one loketest.

edit: Also, HCL YRC>Airdash or Note YRC>Hoverdash to get in for 25% almost guaranteed! Fuck, I’m excited for this game.

Well if your choice for extending combos is between Red Canceling your ChemLove or just using your air super, then I guess I-No retains her difficulty. For those afraid of I-No becoming easier to use.

Yassssss. My bod is ready for those Japanese week 1 training mode monsters.

I respect people who play I-No. That character is impossible.

Sanwa’s teasing something GG related for this weekend’s JAEPO.

Now before anyone says sticks. These are most likely just GG Xrd control panels and parts for the Lindbergh cab.

I’m excited to see how slayer develops. Especially in regards to his Optimal Punishes. If someone like Dizzy summoned a Fish in Neutral or Sol whiffed a Volcanic Viper, the round ended and Slayer took like 90% life in the best circumstances. I hope it remains the same (Though I know deep down, it wont) I still want to see ridiculous Slayer damages from moves like 2D RC and CH DoT and the majestic BBU.

slayer doesnt have bbu in this, so how players (like me) who started with ac are going to start combos is something i do not know. ch j.h didnt even float in the last loketest. and dot does not have the extreme wall carry that it did in ac. in fact it looks borderline unusable

im sort of disappointed that much of the dynamism that was given to slayer in later games has been taken away and now hes back to being a one-dimensional powerhouse character. i heard that basic pilebunker rc loops are good again, but i dont want slayer to be good for reasons like that. oh well. ill just have to learn how to love the original slayer concept before everything went crazy
