too many random flash kick killed you when i turtled a little harder
sure you’ll hit some scrubs but only do it when for sure it’ll hit
don’t walk forward unless you have to (you lose your charge)
i lose to better guiles becuz they turtle so well
cr.hk is punishable after first hit at close range
The good thing about my Guile play is that I don’t need to keep a constint charge for my booms and flash kicks. I charge them when I need them and thats why I prefer an agressive style of Guile play. I really dislike turtling and spamming moves, waiting for the person to try and jump in, but then again, I guess thats sometimes what you just have to do in certin matchups. Still dislike Blanka matchups though. Hard to focus attack a blanka when the blanka roll breaks it. There’s a few things I need to do thats a bit against my play style like trying to jab you out of the Blanka Roll more and stop Sonic booming after the blanka roll because of your river run. I’ll try out a different strat next time dude. Maybe make you come to me more. But hey, winning 2 out of 5 ain’t bad.
Just registered after seeing this thread. I played Lux as well, 11-1 Guile vs Guile…
Lux’s Guile is really good, very quick and precise and the use of FA really gave him more edge! Been practicing FA, still can’t get it down on the go in actual matches…-_-
Got a few questions about matchups…
vs Abel: I’ve exhausted all options but when again an Abel that knows what he’s doing I get stuffed no matter what I do, especially when he crosses me up…what are some of your strategies against a good Abel? What not to do?
vs Rufus: same, exhausted all options. can’t counter at all, every move I make get stuffed by Messiah Kick then his Ultra juggle ends it…I played this Japanese guy earlier today, tried Air Throw but his jumping HP always got me first…and that dive kick…guh…Has anybody fought a good Rufus and got owned?
vs Balrog: I must say, one of the “cheapest” characters ever…I even had a few that knocked me out of my Ultra when jumping fierce while they were in mid air…and always get out-jabbed, every time…
Also, this has happened to me many times already, while the opponent still above my head while charging down, executed Ultra and opponent still in the air, they ended up blocking it…like they teleported from air to land. Anyone had this problem before?

lol, well I wanted to play guiles from here to learn things from them and incorporate to mine, even tho I won most of our matches, dont feel bad, I am at 16500 while you are at 25000, im 50% win rate in g1. And I am sure you have better days, I liked your 5-6 combos ending in roundhouse, I would love to keep cheking you out on those. Over all you are very aggressive while I am a ninja turtle, too bad my friend amix (six axis awesome player) has made me this way, he just keeps the pressure nonstop with his links and medium fireball fadc crumple shit to crossup grab mix. He told me he didnt use that shit on you, lol. If anything just work the clock on guile mirror, if you have a 20% healt lead, just turtle it with boom, let me do the risk jump. Thats how I manage to win against you, add a couple of unexpected grabs here and there. You were really bad against them. Thats why I won. But looking forward to improve together, my game is simple, no links just bnb, and Normals but I want to look expectacular like that replay you have on psn. Awesome
dude i was waaay better today i went 50 50 with your friend. I started using grabs more and teching them, and backed off more when i started doing hit strings before i ate shit. Definitely a good day compared to yesterday when couldnt win for shit. i just wasnt feeling like i could do good for some reason. wish i was more consistent. I recorded the fights too so ill post em when i figure out how, not pc savvy for shit.
cool. I went to bed early yesterday so didnt see you online. 50-50 is very good I can hardly do that to my friend. He says that right now he is using a damaged pad but I dont think it is so damaged, it is very hard to win against him, lol.
Has he being doing his non-stoping cross-ups mix game? It is frustrating. He cant beat me on long range or mid game. He is just looking for that knock down to take so much advantage. Ill post his mixs, here:

He is very good with focus. Deadly. Maybe you can tell me a better way to avoid all this shit. The only way I know is, block good and wait for a small opnening to ex-boom him out and recover zone space.
HOW can you win? DONT GO TO THE GROUND and play like a PUSSY. THATS why I play TURTLE.
Lately he has not being doing it because I asked him to start playing different and not depend too much on that(he takes advante of GUILE’s horrible crossup defense), also he CANT perform that cross up mix as good as he used to with his previous now broken sixaxis.
i wanna play some guile players. i rarely meet any other guiles online.
