I try to play as others but really trying to master Ryu, Sagat and Guile.
I haven’t been destroyed like that in a while. You had me messing up my moves, dude. At one point I was trying to throw SB with Ryu, and trying to do Ryu’s ultra with Guile. Had me all fucked up…lol

I’ve been playing like crap all day, but it wouldn’t have made a difference if I were on my A game.
I think i have developed some bad habits and traits with guiles. Can someone spar me and tell me what i am doing wrong?

lux thanks for the sparing time the other day… I need to implement the advice you gave me (i.e. learn the rush down game w/guile). I always feel like I bother people when I ask to spar. Appreciate the time!
holy!!! crap i feel like a noob. I am 2400 in G2 championship and compared to lux_ i feel like i am back G3 at 100. Other than ridiculous amount of practice what did you see were some of the problems??

Anytime bro. Even though guile mirrors are extremely boring to me right now. I think if you capitalized on downs and don’t put yourself in a corner you’d find yourself greatly improved.
You’re no noob. You have the basics down, you just need to implement advanced Guile techniques: FAs, EX cancels, crossups, mixups. Guile is pretty limited so we Guile users have to use everything at our disposal. Maybe when we have more time to play I can offer more specific advice.
Sure! I think I hit you up today but you missed it or something. We can try a mic if you want but it normally adds lag which isn’t too good of an idea. I can always PM you here after we get done with a set and your gameplay is fresh in my mind. If you see something that works for me though, give it a shot. I don’t expect anyone to Xcopy my style but if you guys get new ideas that you can incorporate in to your own game by all means it’s a great way to improve.
any videos against luxxx? some players from far places might learn from him too even without playing him. I need more videos of guiles rush down options…

Oh, and yeah…umm…to eliminate myself from spamming the cr.RH, I removed the HK button completely from my pad. Heh heh.

I wouldn’t say that’s hardcore. lol. Probably why you’ve never seen me do a sweep, Batmannn. lmao.
I personally find too much lag or hinderance in the HK for my personal taste. And I noticed that quite a few people look for that one move altogether. I can always use another button as an alternative with less frames and less risk.
Edit: I need to hit some of you guys up again in the near future. I’d love to keep the games going instead of just playing a few games and that’s it type of deal.

I wouldn’t go as far as to remove the button. lol It’s an important option if you’re at Guile’s long sweep range and don’t have a charge.

Hey guys. I main Guile cus hes a bada$$ lol. Im around 2400GP and improving slowly. For some reason i have no probs against Sagats but major probs against Vega, Seth, Bison and the occasional Ryu.
PS: Ive noticed recently that my moves are coming out wrong. eg. Ex boom comes out focus attack, lp:boom coming out as a kick. whats going on here? Ive got 3 pads and two of them are really bad for this. Is this are common problem?
i personally havent heard anything about this issue. that is truly strange if ur pressing the correct button. maybe you havent charged enough is the only thing i can think of other than a controller malfunction… my recommendation is to buy the te stick.

Had a pleasure of playing against eitook some matches. Playing against his Guile was a breath of fresh air. I am quite tired of playing defensive Guiles on CE mode so it was interesting when he played Guile differently. Enjoyed those fights man.

wow great minds think alike; I just shot you a PM. GG for sure, learnt a thing or two from your mix-ups. I’m not exactly sure what type of guile I play, though i know for sure I hate turtling (lack of patience causing me to lose many a time in CE mode). BTW, where are you based at in the UK?
