Pool 9, looks easy.

No no, you’re supposed to say “Easy Operation.”

see you guys in vegas

*salutes

Dieminion and Lamerboi both got pretty tough pools, Lamerboi has Starnab and PR Rog in his

i think deiminion is getting kinda screwed here, there are plenty of pools without insane killers in them, why not spread the top seeded players out a little more… i mean that was the whole point right? nevertheless, good luck to all the guile players this weekend.

Evo Guile Tournament Nerf, Arcade Edition. They did everything they could to Guile in-game, so they thought why not take it to the next level…

Good luck to you all, Guile players. I’d really love to see some Guile action on the stream.

Lamerboi is in the pool with the best Fei in my country. He knows the Guile matchup quite well. Best of luck to fellow Guiles. Hope to see at least a Guile in the top 8.

Lamerboi

If you get hit with a rekka in the corner and Fei attempts a j.mk crossup right after, Guile can dash under it. I don’t know if it applies to his j.mp though. And remember to hold nj or try to FK after the 2nd hit when you get hit by a rekka or risk the chance to get reset again.

what day does this start? friday or saturday?

friday! get hypee

just watched Dieminion beat Poongko twice and lost once. i missed the whole set. but that was really good shit

I’ve heard that Poongko got beat 11-0 by my friend Gackt’s Fei who is in Lamerboi’s pool. He got quite agitated from the vids and took off his belt during the matches cos it seems he was mindfucked quite badly. But then Poongko could be downloading his opponents though.

lol poongko sandbagging already.

nice, warahk with the reaction u2 on sagat

so going from the result log on eventhubs, looks like guile got exposed and disappeared down a black hole. can’t even find his name.

who got the furthest?

I think both warahk and dieminion tied, they made it out of their first pool, only to lose really early in quarter final pools. I missed dieminion vs. chrisG but I managed to catch a close match between warahk and RF. Dunno, how far lamerboi got, but I don’t think he made it out of his first pool. I think he lost to PR Rog and Starnab. I believe daggerG went 3-2 as did I.

Pretty sad…not the performance, just what capcom has done.

I think it’s time for some new technology.

what kind of stuff are you looking at man?

A little off topic, but I got to play 4 games of SFxT today. I picked Steve/Guile every time. Guile plays/feels pretty much identical to SF4 Guile+chain combos. His f+mk and c.mk might have been 1f faster or so. It was kind of hard to tell. Charge time was definately the same as SSF4, and not SF4. His airthrows were decent, but didn’t have the range of SF4 guile, but they did their job. If you anticipate a jump, you can get them. Chain combos were fun. Combo’ing to specials after the chains were fun. It felt like MvC2 guile in this reguard. Double tapping HP for his far s.HP or backfist is a no-no. You will get those launcher moves, and if your opponent blocks these, they can punish with anything.

I’m not sure what they’re thinking with the supers they way they are currently implemented. Do the command for SB, then hold the button down for a long time. Eventually it will become sonic hurricane. You have to hold the button down way too long. Capcom says they are currently working on this though.

EX SB was as fast as SF4 EX SB. FK has great horizontal range. I tried doing a FK super, using the old zigzag motion and nothing came out. I forgot to try holding down the kick button during a normal FK to try and get a super. Not having to do that stupid motion could be a plus for FK super, if only they get rid of the stupid amount of time you have to charge.

To tag out you press the two medium attack buttons. I was having some issues with this not tagging out and someome mentioned you have to be in neutral stance to tag(ala mvc3). This is probably why I couldn’t tag, cause I was in the DB position while mashing MP+MK.

When testing out Steve, I would get worked by my opponents. I would have to switch to Guile, then I could basically go on SF4 autopilot and beat both my opponents characters. This is how similar he felt to SF4.

Anyways, it’s off topic…I can post stuff about Steve Fox if anyone is interested.

i got a question gilley. can guile combo all of his anti airs into cr.mp, flash kick? pretty sure he can because it looks like all anti airs put the opponent into a crumple…i just haven’t actually seen it done yet.

I made it put of my pool on losers side … Lost to perfect legend … Ugh akuma

In quarters I played keno… Second game was a close one but he took it

I went guile the whole way as always
