Hi guile fans

I would like to finally clear up whether this combo is possible or not, cause through offical channels i never see it listed yet i have seen tons of you tube videos of it. Here is the combo ill just say the end cause this is the bit i think you cant do. It goes high kick flash kick FADC forward dash to sonic hurricane ultra. To me this is impossible for one reason when you fadc the flash kick and then dash forward which requires you to press forward, forward how can you then go back and charge the ultra before the player hits the floor. If its possible please explain to me how. Thanks

For a start unless you are a complete retard its slightly obvious why I didnt trust the you tube videos. I saw a guy walking on water yesterday on you tube, so unless he is the messiah i think its fake. And second im new to SRK and didnt know where to look but if everyones like you and just gives back attuide instead of a answer then i might look eles where.

For a start, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, there are 9 stickies on the Guile thread that you could’ve looked through that are located on, you guessed it, the top of the Guile threads. Granted, I know that you wouldn’t go through all the threads from beginning to end. Luckily, the people here have organized the threads so that the relevant information is on the first page. While not all videos have explanations, I know there are at least two that have explanations (mine and SonicFlash’s). There’s a video of GeoM doing GHK > FK > FADC > U2 for like 2 minutes on THawk with inputs displayed. While I agree that people will do anything to get a viral video on youtube, typically speaking, the SF community isn’t like that. Typically.

And second, Guile’s FK > FADC > U2 is a combo, so looking at the combo thread http://shoryuken.com/f258/flashkick-fadc-shades-guile-combo-thread-201465/ would’ve been one of the first things I would’ve gone to. If not, there’s also the general FAQ thread (http://shoryuken.com/f258/ssfiv-guile-faq-updated-6-7-10-%40-9-15-est-236459/) that you also could’ve gone to.

While I’m not adverse to answering questions people may have, if a question has been answered repeatedly numerous times in numerous threads (and the answer can literally be found on the first page) and it still gets asked, that’s an indication of your reluctance to search around.

I apologize for sounding like a douche, but there’s a reason why stickies are used - to make sure people get the most relevant information easily.

We’re using Flash Explosion. Not Sonic Hurricane… It’s a typo and very elaborate video editing.

im still trying to get better at this game in the mean time.

if anybody on xbl can do this in a match, id love to fight against you and maybe get some general pro tips also.

to be honest i don’t care about fadc sonic hurricane anymore. i stopped even trying to attempt it. i can do plain dash ultra 1 and 2 on a stick for sure because i’ve been testing it. i can even dash ultra on the ps3 dpad…but i have to hold it in a strange way lol.

anyways. guile is so solid that you don’t need to be able to do this move to win with guile at any level (i know a couple of pros will disagree). i think trade ultra is much more important as it’s much easier to land and much more likely to happen if you know how.

ultras are still important. just not as important as they were on vanilla imo.

I think it (fk fadc SH) isn’t as necessary as people thought it might be; but I definitely think it is worth having and going for. Essentially if you are going to FK FADC away for safety anyways, why not have the SH down to hit them with 386 damage should the fk land?

agreed. all i’m saying is guile noobs who think that it’s as essential as ryu’s fadc ultra need to think again. i don’t think i’ve ever seen warahk do it and he gets on fine without it. plus in pressure situations i’ve seen lamerboi, dagger g and dieminion all whiff it. if it’s so hard that the top guile’s in the world have trouble with it then i think i’ll just stick to using it for trade/chip/fireballs.

i seem to be hitting a lot more players with lk flash kick at the peak of their jump than i did in vanilla. this into ex boom or ultra 2 is more useable than you might think (not that i actually land ultra 2 off it all the time, i just mean i get quite a few opportunities to do so). i wonder if that’s down to my game changing or something else.

Yeah, I hear that. I will still go for it every time I hit fk FADC backdash though. I end up using SH in the same ways you do; I actually land it off super more than anything else, but that is more about the opponent not forcing me to use meter.
