I donāt think thatās such a big deal, since blocked divekicks are fairly bad on block. Of course some of your AAs will miss, but thatās just how divekicks work. Also, if you know people are going to jump but are unsure if theyāre gonna divekick or not, you can usually just air-to-air them, or even better: airgrab them.
Nash strikes me as the problem matchup, for the same reason Rose was hard in SF4. Any character that can sit back and force Guile to be the offensive character, and also has the tools to take advantage of that, is going to be a struggle.
I donāt like that costume by the look of the picture but maybe it looks better in motion and with a different colour. I was hoping for a costume with him rocking an air force bomber jacket and shades though.
Yep I think Nash is going to be a problem. I do think Guile will be able to hold his own against him better than some characters though.
Iām very curious about matches with the other more defensive characters like Fang and Dhalsim. I currently donāt really see any matches that heās obviously going to really struggle in, which is good. I think thereās a few characters which have the ability to stun him fast once they get a knockdown, so I think thatās where his weakness is. Chun being good in this game bodes well for Guile too imo.
I think we all canāt wait to have our character back.
I donāt have too many worries about Nash. Maybe I just havenāt come across a really good one yet, all of the gold ones arenāt usually too scary. But I feel that Guile wins the fireball game especially with his V skill and hopefully the booms will have enough recovery to be able to block Nashās ājaguar kickā or whatever itās called.
So I think Nash will be the one who is forced to get in, because thatās how he does most damage anyway.
Also, his FK will be on point for anti-airing those random āJaguar Kicksā when you have down charge.
Ken might be a problem, but Necalli cant just do buttons into stomp for free - the stomp is a projectile and flashkick beats projectiles. His pressure isnt all that real. Granted we have to take risks, but so does he.
Plus our neutral buttons will be significantly better than Necalli I believe.
I can see V-Triggered Ken and V-Triggered Necalli being problematic. Ken because of that divekick, but more so Necalli because the anti-projectile tools he has are crazy. CA is Rolling Thunder-tier, V-Triggered EX Slash absorbs two projectile hits, and his V-Skill will stop you from spamming V-Skill boosted booms.
