well, time to go play gw1 again, i didnt even realize i already had 24 points in the hall of monuments. time to spend this 1000 platinum i have laying around in my storage and get more points!!!
Anyone in Asia bought this game? Is this game region specific in anyway? I heard some pre-purchasers had issues when they bought the game in America and played it in Europe.
I’m actually getting a little more hyped about this game.
I think I may be getting this game day 1, however, I’m at a dilemma here.
I want to get this game, however I’m hearing it’s going to take up a lot of resources from the computer.
Not only that, but there isn’t any specifics as of yet what the requires maybe.
I’m willing to upgrade my computer to get this game running at 100% (if possible), but then again I’m running a 4 year old computer. Luckily, it has a lot of run for upgrading (running with PCI-E slots, running a dual core, etc), so hopefully my current mother board will be enough to update to what the game needs to run.
Yeah the beta ran pretty poorly for me. FPS in WvW dropped into the single digits. Best to wait until closer to launch when they release final system requirements and have optimized the game before deciding to upgrade.
I totally upgraded my PC for it (although I had some found money). Remember tho’ that it’s not remotely optimized right now (like doesn’t use GPU or multiple cores level, if I remember right). They’re saying it’ll run substantially better on release.
Yea, from my understanding, even the developers are like “uhhhh… hold up a bit…” when asked about the PC requirements.
Hopefully something will be up at least a month before the game comes out. That should give me enough time to update.
Damn, with all these games coming out, I might just go back into PC gaming.

Anyone else in the beta this weekend? I missed the first one, but I’ve been looking forward to this a lot so I went ahead and ordered the game and will be playing this weekend. Also, has anyone had issues with the installer? I ran it a week or so ago and downloaded the game, but I ran it again this morning to see if there was any updates for this weekend and it froze on me 3 times while updating. Not sure if it’s my PC or the client, because the PC is brand new (one of the reasons why I missed the first BWE) so I really hope it’s not my PC. I deleted everything and will do a fresh download when I get home from work, hopefully it works.

It’s the client, should be the same one as last BWE with 1 patch. Re-downloading should work.
Also, I’m on Isle of Janthir and my weekend is gone.

Yeah I checked this morning and nabbed it, guess there was another one because I checked again and there was another (small) update. wish I could take tomorrow off and that I didn’t have to babysit Saturday and Sunday mornings. oh well should still get a lot of time in
Took a bit to make a character last night but finally got in. I really like what I’ve played so far. My friend who was in the 1st beta happened to be in Sea of Sorrows, which went undefeated in the last BWE, so I had a feeling it would get crowded fast and sure enough it was full by the time I was got home from work. Oh well, I randomly chose some low pop server and made a few characters to get a feel for the different professions. Then I opened up the WvW tab and damn my server (Loew’s Point) is getting decimated, I took this pic this morning so it’s even worse than last night
Will try to find the time to play Engineer and Mesmer this weekend, but they haven’t reset characters and my Ranger is 25 and I kinda want to keep exploring the higher level zones instead of repeating the same beginner zones with new classes.
out of all the classes I’ve tried so far I like Guardian, Elementalist, and Thief the most. I haven’t tried Warrior or Ranger yet. Been doing a lot of PvP since it went back online yesterday and love it. A lot of classes seem to be doing well in it, though I haven’t seen enough to know if there are any imbalances. I suck, but I’m getting better and really enjoying it. Can’t wait for the full release.
This weekend was great. got my beta-charr guardian to level 20 and played a bunch of WvW. I’m going to be guild wars 1 regularly this week, and if anyone wants to join me, hit me up on twitter @foureyedcub to see when i’m playing. 
Also, the end of beta event was alright, i was expecting more, but it’s free so it’s all good.
from what I understand GW1 is pretty different from GW2, but I enjoyed GW2 beta enough that I’m considering picking up GW1 off steam. I can get all of them for fairly cheap too. Not 100% sure if I should though. But it might be good just so I get used to these style of controls again, and am more ready for GW2 when it comes out.
