that’s definitely good news for people interested in this. means instead of having to buy two 2I kits (or a 2I kit and another CPS3 kit) you can just buy one and get the extra needed simm from Darksoft. much more reasonable spending plan.
I’ll be doing this on one of our carts soon as well. I’ll report back if there’s any noticeable difference.

Anybody have luck with one of these? The seller says there is small lag but I haven’t read anything like that on the internet. Does this multi bios cart work similarly to the 2nd Impact conversion method?
The multibios carts don’t have any lag, and they do work similarly to the 2i conversion method. Darksoft wrote a bios that replaces the bios originally on the cart. I believe it’s based on the 3s bios (since 3s uses the most simms) but encoded using 2i’s encryption key so that it works with a 2i cart.

This battery free cart from Darksoft is the shit. I bought it from some 3rd Party vendor from the UK off of Ebay but I’m impressed with how cool this is. Finally got my supergun assembled and controllers built. I bought all these parts for some sticks then Undamned released those USB decoders for public sale like a week later lol. Maybe I’ll snag those in the future if I ever go to EVO or for some other reason
