If Skype is giving people problems, I can also use Vent. Skype is best because you have total control over who’s in the call, but Vent anyone can join, since we don’t have a private server. Any other suggestions for audio calls with conferencing abilities?
Good News:
Ok, we had 39 people listening in, which was awesome. Thanks for taking the time to listen!
Bad News:
I forgot to hit the record button until about… 10-15 minutes in. :xeye: I’ll upload it after editing, but yeah… 15 mins from the beginning is cut out.
Thank you Davero, JayWang, and Vince for providing 99% of the content of the show, you guys were great.
Although I’m not in the GTASF scene, I found the show quite enjoyable. Too bad no calls were taken, that would’ve added more laughs heh. I’m sure next time will be much better!
Yeah, on testing right before the show I realized that if I hosted calls, nobody on skype could hear me because the stream bandwidth + the skype bandwidth = too much upload bandwidth being used. So I had to get JayWang to host the call, so adding in new callers/co-ordinating was a pain.
I think with a little better planning another show would be perfectly acceptable.
So the plan now is for the next show to be held on Sunday July 26th, at 9 PM EST. If anyone wants to call in, we’ll be using TEAMSPEAK, as that uses an outside server (thanks Vince/RXS) rather than sucking up a lot of host bandwidth with Skype. This means we can have a lot of people in the Teamspeak server, and just having them join/leave the room to facilitate easier “call-ins”.
At the beginning of the stream, Davero is talking. The voice louder than everyone else is me, and the other voice is JayWang.
At about 26 mins, you’ll notice a weird skip, and then we’re talking about “how we shouldn’t have talked about that”, and that’s because I deleted something out, which wasn’t meant to be revealed yet.
Yo can I get on the show this Sunday? I’m asking mainly because this Sunday would be the last Sunday before Evo, I wanted to hype it up since I’m going.
