3s is done for the day. brian qualified in winners. antoine qualified in losers. adam and samir both knocked out tied in ninth. jwong sent adam and then samir to losers. Teams about to resume.
So are Samir/Adam in losers or are they out of the tourney? I know u said tied for 9th and shit, but did u add the Jwong part for FYI purposes or what?

adam and antoine came third in teams. eric and samir came fifth. bry/gerjay/JS win their first match in marvel but lose to yipes team and then isaac team. marvel singles just started.
OK our motel has a couple of wifi comps so I can make a proper update.
STREET FIGHTER III: 3RD STRIKE (lots of people, around 80)
- Bryan qualified in winners. This isn’t a joke. He had a moderately tough pool (no one insane that we’d all know right off the bat) and had good coaching behind him.
- Antoine qualified in losers. He lost to Exodus and worked his way through the losers end. He beat KoFiend to make top 8.
- Justin Wong knocked AdamB and Samir into the losers bracket. The Adam vs Justin set was absolutely fucking nuts. I only taped the 3rd match and that was insane. It drew a massive crowd and I hope it translates well on tape because it got loud.
STREET FIGHTER III: 3RD STRIKE TEAMS (2v2 - 29 Teams)
- Eric & Samir finished in 5th place. They lost to some Double Yun team in winners and to Exodus/Shinsay in losers.
- AdamB & Antoine finished in 3rd place. They lost to Henry Cen & Justin Wong in Winners Finals 2 sets to 1. They lost to Exodus/Shinsay 2 sets to 0 in Losers Finals (double OCV by Exodus. Insanely good Dudley).
MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 (lots of entrants, over 100)
- Gerjay won his first match against Javier. Lost to Infinite in the 2nd round. He beat two people in losers and then lost to King Kaddles.
- Jiggabry won his first match (I can’t recall the opponent). He lost to Josh Wigfall in the 2nd round. He beat some random guy, another guy named Kevin from New York and then J360 after that. He lost to Xcutionor. I’m not sure of his placing, I think it’ll probably be 25th or possibly 17th.
GUILTY GEAR SLASH
- Stephen got peaced out of singles.

We’re just getting ready to head home and I need to kill time while the rest wake up.
We made a killing on Sunday afternoon. We were debating leaving and then Eric said that MD/VA wanted to run a 5 on 5 for $20 a head. So we go up to this room and the 5 on 5 can’t start so we run money matches and it was a total massacre. JS had to have won over $100. AdamB won probably $50. Samir won every money match except for the one they ran back for KOFiend but I don’t know what amounts he was playing for. I made $60 in side bets on 3S. Toronto I think lost 3 out of God knows how many (20? maybe more?) money matches.
Then we get to Marvel and I made another $60 just betting on Sanford Kelly over and over from the losers bracket through to the finals.
BTW there’s a MAJOR controversey that came out of the 3S tourney. I’ll explain it all when we get back but Samir was accused of cheating and it’s going to get messy.
