GTA V

They just released the official launch trailer for the PS4 / XB1 versions next week. Looks incredible! Definite re-purchase for me.

Gamergate according to GTA V.

Its taunting me on my PS4 home screen, unlocks at 9:00 PM PST tonight

Watching this on Twitch, the 1st person driving reminds me of Quarantine… a now 20 year old game…

First person mode leaves a lot to be desired. It’s not as responsive as I hoped it would be.

But it succeeds on being immersive, IMO

make sure you have the first person control kept as standard (traditional gtaV control) and widen the field of view. I have wall hugging set to third person as well

L3 for running suits short distance sprinting more, it doesn’t fit gta well (in expansive levels, and seems to work against you when someone else has set sprinting to face button). also find that its better to have at the very least partial auto aim because theres too much information in gtaV, in fps games its pretty straight forward what your target will be.

I find this set up better since its easier to transition from third person to first if you wanted to (i don’t though) and if you like the look of first person wall hugging its better to wait till its universally set since even though it feels better and easier for me to kill people in first person I don’t have a huge field of view so im not gonna let other guys have that advantage; it needs to be universal.

Getting high in first person is pretty fun. The screen gets all wacky and shit and now you can flip off people while first person driving. Visuals are ridiculous too, pretty big jump from last gen.

Does the FPS stuff control as sluggishly as the original set up? Stuff like taking 2 seconds to stop moving after you let go of the controller? Having to move forward because Rockstart never heard of strafing/side stepping/walking backwards?

with head bobbing theres psychological delay but if you turn it off its almost as fluid as battlefield. the problem in gta is targets don’t stay close for long so the hitbox you have to manage is smaller due to the distance, also the animation of your target tends to be thinner in open world because they tend to know where people are because of the map so they’re always on guard. also, if you don’t raise you’re turning speed the visual field cone will appear smaller than most fps so characters will move out of your sights quite fast. thats one thing I need to change in my set up, I haven’t raised my aiming/turning speed

Add YoungStunna514 on xbl if youre on the one. Need some homies to ride with

Forgot how utterly trash GTA Online is, like holy fuck this is bad.

This is awesome, somebody remade the opening scene of Breaking Bad in GTAV

So how does it look on current gen, fellas?

Pretty good. The lighting is amazing especially at night and there are fewer pop ins. It looks the best on ps4 but i have xb1 and im not complaining at all.

I went back on GTA Online after months of not playing…I come back only to see that I only have $13k (out of the original $3mil), some of my cars have changed and my character looking absolutely ridiculous. Bruh…

So is there anything new that warrants me getting this again?

About to cop this shit tomorrow for the Xbone. I’ve had it for a while on 360, never knew there was a thread for it.
Waiting for a PC release, because that can’t be anything but GDLK.
