GTA V

I hated San Andreas. That game had a bunch of pointless bullshit in it that wasn’t fun to do. Weight lifting? Really? Fuck that nonsense. And it didn’t bother to try and fix anything wrong with the series. Gun play was still boring as fuck and hard to do well. The whole aiming system was garbage. GTAIV may have less to do but what it does have tends to be of some form of quality, and they actually fixed a lot of the shit wrong with the series. The gun play was finally kinda fun, the writing was really good, Nico was hard, and over all it felt like the kind of sequel GTA 3 should have gotten.

Complete opposite . Loved San Andreas cause you could dick around in that world forever. Found GTA4 pretty boring , something about it just irritates me and I never finished it despite only being a couple of missions away

Hopefully it’s not “Los Angeles” like that totally unbelievable rumor from earlier made by some ignorant guy who probably never played SA.

I liked SA… it had everything going for it, except lighting normals. which made me sad (as an artist)

One thing they should improve on in is the re-playability. If there’s one thing this series has suffered from the most, it has to it’s inability to make the player come back for it’s main mode and genuinely enjoy it again. GTA3 was the only game I liked re-playing, but it mainly has to do with the nostalgia instead of gameplay.

GTA5 should focus primarily on the single player aspect so they can create a fun, deep, and re-playable story as opposed to the same cookie cutter mission-based formula they used in the games ever since GTA 3.

No, not even. Mainly because the only thing EVERYONE does in free roam online is stay in the airport and fly helicopters close to the ground. I tried to go online and get some car chases and police wars going, but everyone just stays in the shitty airport doing nothing.

Another thing I didn’t like about IV is that the clothing selection was BALLS, holy shit. I ended up leaving Niko in a suit since it was the only decent thing in the game.

It would be really interesting if this game had the same locations as the first one.
What would y’all think if they had a female character this time, like when the fakes of IV popped up?

i liked mini games, they just fucking sucked. Bowling was chimp easy to get perfect in, as was darts. I just want a game that REALLY encaptures the size and scope of the game.

I just want to see a REAL world, rather than people all walking in a straight fucking line down the sidewalk, avoiding stores/cars/other people, and nobody playing games or chilling in a park. ANYBODY can do an open sandbox game with people randomly walking around. That ship has sailed

Physics engine I like, I just wish cops didn’t try to fucking KILL YOU for getting into a fender bender. And yeah, bring back the sillyness. And the San Andreas customization. I didnt really do fuck all with Niko. His clothes and shit sucked monkey balls.

Judging from the look of the logo and the “V”, I get the feeling of money being invoked…So back to Vegas and/or Washington?

supposed to be releasing details tomorrow, according to word of mouth around my work

I would rather have a sequel to Red Dead Redemption than this. The last GTA game was terrible.

GTAIV had the best core gameplay out of the entire series. Stay hatin’.

I don’t give a fuck about how I can dress, leveling up my bike ridin’ skills, or looking like a synthol pumped monkey after hitting the gym.

I get what you’re saying. Rockstar reaaallly have to push things here to make a new game. Also, keep psycho cops. Always. GTA car chases that escalate for no fucking reason will never get old.

If they merged the realistic side of GTAIV with say the exaggerated craziness of say Vice City (best in the series IMHO), they’d be on to a great game.

Yeah, this ain’t no RPG son, keep that shit outta here

Oh, they need to bring back vigilante mode. If that haven’t already in the GTAIV expansions anyhow.

You guys aren’t getting the point of sandbox games if you guys don’t want minigames or customizations.

It’s about having a plethora of choices and being free to do whatever the fuck you want, at anytime.

EDIT: @PublicEnemy, nice find.

No, keep that shit in there!

@ Public Enemy. That second image makes me think it might take place in D.C. That’ll be nice for a new location.

GTAV!! DAMN!! It is on.

Though I really…really want Rockstar to do Bully 2. That games deserves a goddamn sequel.

I’d totally do DC for a location. I owned IV and tried so hard to make myself like it but I just couldn’t. Don’t really know why, I played the shit out of all the other games in the series. IV just lacked something to me. I have my fingers crossed on this one.

yeah loved customization of san andreas. i have nothing but fond memories for that game. the best part was the diversity of locales. there was a ghetto, a vegas, a countryside, a desert, and everything in between. i loved exploring everywhere.

My god! My thoughts exactly!

Not when those other things to do are fucking dog shit.

Your description of dog shit might be gold for others.

Stick with FFXIII if you don’t like having extra content in a game.
