Its normally the simple fact that you aren’t even supposed to have the game yet. Video game launches are fragile things and devs don’t want curveballs in the shape of people streaming the game for hours upon hours before its even out.
Streaming is fine. Hell, Xbox One has streaming built-in thanks to a partnership with Twitch. Streaming before its actual release date though? That’s an entirely different story.
R* is laying the hammer on everything. Live streams on sites and Youtube uploads are getting killed with ninja quickness.
People are attached to PS because of the 3-SA titles, but obviously IV sold more on 360. Furthermore there was a huge disparity in graphics, and people online. This is going to be less one-sided, but still in favor of the 360. GTA PS loyalty would have been fool hardy for GTA4, unless you were one of those “I dont pay for Live” people. I had both systems when it came out, picked 360. If I still had both, I’d still pick 360 for 5. How great the past was with Sony isn’t indicative of the present.
I’ve watched bits of gameplay here and there. I figure I’ll be playing for a solid 100 hours, what’s a few missions. The only thing I can say I’m less than excited about is the crash physics. Cars seem to be made of adamantium this time around…
Edit: lol Diego, trollin ass nigga.
GTA4 (360) total sales - 10.43
GTA4 (PS3) total sales - 9.85 mill
We’re talking about America. The only place that matters. The only place matchmaking matters. That number is because of Europe, and Aus; basically places that dont matter to our gaming community. Funny how 360 still won supported only Americans.
All I know is that after a few weeks, PS3 users will go back to some faggoty JRPG or first party circle jerk, and no one still trying to play GTA Online for PS3 is going to find a match.
Not a huge disparity. There are plenty of people to play online. Certainly in any of the games I play. I don’t know where you got the idea that PSN is a ghost town, but it’s entirely inaccurate.
Do you play American games by large? No? Well then, yes ghost town. But hey, on Dark Souls, there will be plenty of people on PSN leaving tips. “Watch out for the boulder BRO”
I have the idea that PSN is comparatively a ghost town compared to XBL probably because I’ve owned 20-ish of the same game on both?
I’m not biased. If GTA5 looks better on PS3, (which is probable since thats what they are showing)…AND there was NO online component, I would buy it for PS3. I originally bought Fallout 3 for the PS3 at launch, because of 2 reasons; Oblivion looked better on PS3, so I thought Fallout would as well. And before 360’s specular patch, the PS3 version DID look better.
since people are gonna want that ps3-ps4 upgrade i doubt it, theres so many people jumping ship from xbox probably half the 360 ver sales will convert when ps4 gets it
