OK! So… I did my money match.

First of all the venue’s upload speed was about… 0.30Mbps so it couldn’t be streamed but it will be uploaded.

Here are my thoughts:

  • Nothing can stop the hype machine. As soon as the words “money” and “match” were uttered into the microphone people started tossing money. I said I was poor and couldn’t do much money so most of the entire audience decided to add money to the pot in my behalf, which the dude then matched.
  • Playing money matches is not stressful to me. I was pretty calm the whole way.
  • I need to practice more in a lagless monitor so I don’t spend two rounds trying to figure out how to combo lol

Here are my thoughts on the match itself:

  • Dude had problems with the monitor like I did and it was noticeable.
  • He seemed to enjoy himself until about halfway through
  • I used almost all of the Fortune technology (all post-patch, mind you) that I could. Resets, air combos, fiber upper loops, rekka/headbutt loops, blockbusters into noms, tick throws into noms, air fakeout resets, hitting my own head, avoiding Hornet Bomber (the spell is broken!), stopping and doing nothing, c.LK make-shift frame traps, sandwich combos… I mixed my style up so much the guy didn’t seem to have time to adapt in 10 matches (he wanted a FT5 but I insisted since it was mostly other people’s money that we should do FT10. Holy rape. I won 10-0. lol
