I’m not bashing the entire series(ffs I created the thread for the series), but after the original GB, Baki the character just fucking sucked(and I"m not only talking about him sucking Kozue).
I swear NW has like 1 good panel a chapter and everything else is ass.
Bald Ryu ki Gouken palm vs Smiling Sword was the best panel. Last chapter it was bald Ryu just standing there. By the Gods of Olympus, New Waves SUCKS.
Yeah I am kind of getting tired of Ippo wreckin cats. Like when he fought his twin, that really should have just done him in, but it didn’t. Also I think the Gedo and Wali matches were very “wtf”. Woli gave him that work the entire match, then is all of a sudden taken out all quickly. But I don’t think any match pisses me off more than the Miyata vs that ambidextrous guy that basically destroyed Miyata the whole match. Honestly when I saw what happened I was done with the manga for a bit. But one thing is for sure, Ippo probably won’t be ready for Ricardo… ever. Its the boxing IQ difference and Ippo doesn’t really possess it like Ricardo.
Anyway, I am finally caught up on Tough and Minoru. I really like how Tough is coming about, as well as Minoru, both are quite enjoyable. Also if anyone can link me to where they have the Shamo manga, then that would be great. I am curious to see what this dancing guy will do after he has trained for a bit.

I don’t know about Ricardo. I get the feeling that he’ll retire before Ippo fights him, or he’ll get stomped by some new kid that’ll be set up as the true villain. Ippo doesn’t really have anywhere to go, and he won’t have any new rivals from this point since everyone left him and joined other weight classes and the boxers he has to fight are international guys. Series has just been dragging on too long.

he throws himself off a roof in this chapter. I stopped reading then so the series is over for me. A satisfying end to an unsatisfying series.
