crossup jMK back throw into Super, crossup jMK back throw into Ultra1…top it off with a nice cherry hadoken to finish the fight
Denjin doesn’t make any sense to me, yeah it does a lot of stun, big whoop, Ultra1 can finish the fight right then n there. it’s pretty much the same with other characters dumb Ultra2’s (Balrog,Gen)
i could not get ex palm > any palm > denjin to work on gen, no matter how high i hit him with the 2nd palm.
his hitbox does not allow it.
the timing on sakura, viper and dee jay is extremely tight too.
you can land ex palm > palm > denjin on them, but only if you hit them extremely high with the 2nd palm.
i think denjin is a lot better off line than it is online, but it is hard to argue against backthrow > shin sho.
the thing that made me sick of denjin was getting backthrow and knowing that shin sho would have ended the round.
i lost a lot of games that way.

i only ran denjin for 2 weeks.
i get pretty upset when i lose, so denjin had to go.
it never made up for the big three shin sho combos:
backthrow > shin sho = 500 damage.
ex palm > fadc shin sho = 600 damage.
ex palm in the corner > shin sho = 600 damage.
most denjin combos top out around 500 and backthrow to denjin is crap unless it stuns.
i can’t even time the 5 hit online.
Juri Seth Akuma and Sakura have a higher rate of stun. I default to Denjin on those characters because they’re highly offensive in nature. If I do land either a blocked or hit Denjin, they’re very close to being stunned already. This is most likely because I’ve landed a combo (existing stun from this already) tat puts me in a position to deal out more stun. Also because their health bars are usually on the low side. You net more damage and reset setups this way. As a counter example, you wouldnt pick Denjin against a Zangief, or a Sagat.
Thus to my point: both a confirmed Denjin on block, hit, or even just selection alone, the Denjin allows me some breathing room against highly offensive characters. They’ll think twice about their rush down tactics. Hence I have more freedom against characters that are likely to keep me tied down for a majority of a game. It basically opens up more chances at an offensive standpoint with Gouken, rather than just defensive.
Thanks for the tips, well said. Will take it into consideration. The main reason I was jumping at this guile so much is that he wasn’t doing any flash kicks at all. It was weird so I just kept putting the pressure on since I was having much more success with that than playing the zone game since i’m a rushdown gouken so I don’t like to sit in a corner and camp all day. ;D
Doing c.HP over s.HP is just a habit. I’ve gotten used to doing that on cross-ups since on laggy games, the s.HP never seems to combo after the cross-up for me. I tend to do the jab string because it always puts me in a safe position and I get some guaranteed damage rather than a failed attempt and wasting ex meter. Also since I eat a shoryuken/flash kick/cannon spike everytime I decide not to do the jab string lol.
They have lower stun rate. But Unlike Akuma they dont have asura teleport to escape AFTER you have forward throw them and force them to block the wake up Denjin. I know Seth can teleport, but Seth also like to Jump. Once he’s hit by your jumping MP he’s almost Stunned. You have to work your way around and get them stunned. Guy is especially vulnerable when you are directly above his head, keep him guessing and grounded (use more Gouken Flip throw), and safe jumps, bait / back throw, denjin.
Guarantee hit after EX palm is OK for stun, not damage. The game will be different from how you approach the enemy and how to score damage/stun.:lol:
Awesome match RuLeZ…as always. That kongo into ultra is brilliant. Always love seeing that. That blanka was seriously all over the place lol. Much rather fight a blanka like that than ur typical camping one.

i played against this blanka player in this endless lobby before. At the first time he played with more patience but when he started to do some action i always prevented and countered it. So maybe this could be the reason why this blanka didnt had any patience in the next fight.

I’m assuming you say he’s number 1 because of his bp’s correct? Not based on skill? I’m not judging him based on two really crappy recorded fights but really there was nothing in those matches that is stellar besides his bp. Besides, bp’s dont mean squat in this game. I’m sure we’ve all seen guys with 10k+ points thinkin we are gonna get rocked but then realize its some 14 year old kid who has no life but to play this game 24hrs a day. On the flip side I have been manhandled (reluctantly may i add lol) by guys with as little as 100 measly bp’s. I find it weird that all the good gouken players are on xbl as opposed to psn. :-s
Yeah, based on those videos, he is not really impressive. But to get 20k is not easy, unless his opponents are craps… Can’t really judge unless more videos are available.
Also I guess most of the pros are over at xbox rather than psn
I’ve never played vipergoomba, been in a room with him before and have seen some of his fights on psn, but none of it was particularly impressive. To his credit this could probably be said of just about anyone. I’m surprised to see that he’s number one now, I thought the number one guy was ken-something a japanese player. I was actually number 2 for a while around July, but quit ranked. Fast forward a couple of weeks and my ps3 breaks x_x .
