I could never bother to practice that as Counter > Super is so much easier, just slightly less damage, and does not use up all the things.
Does it do slightly less damage? MP palm is 110 damage and level 1 Ultra does 300 damage.
So counter damage is in both combos so just skip that. You are looking at 345 damage from the super vs whatever MP palm FADC Denjin does.
MP palm is 110 and full damage but Denjin drops to 70% damage because of scaling, right?
Kongo > Super = 150 [1] + 345 [2]= 495 damage.
Kongo FADC MP Palm FADC Denjin level 1 = 150 [1] + 110 [2] + (300 * .7) [4] = 470 damage.
This of course assumes that you have a completely full U2 meter.
Either way counter > super is better damage.
And hella easier.
I like the combo tbh; Kongo MP Palm Denjin lvl 1 does 680 stun.

Don’t feel bad about using Gouken’s tools, that are in no way overpowered or cheap. Ever.
Gouken’s got such a close relation to Akuma, such a bitter rivalry - between characters and players.
So I enjoy the occasional light-hearted trolling of the Akuma forum.

You should’ve seen one of my matches against a Seth. I was getting my ass handed to me, and he had about 75% left, but made one tiny mistake that allowed me to catch him with… neutral-jump FP, I think it was, with at least 3 bars. Who needs a reset when you have a full Ultra I? One 9-hit combo, and it was over.
Here’s to cornering a meterless Bison while I have full meter, blasting him with frame traps, fireballs, FADCs, demon flips, and generally not being a nice guy…and to watching him squirm because this is the shit he’s supposed to be doing to me.

it sums up Gouken’s weakness.
you can tell from that snapshot alone that Ken was all over Gouken until he finally decided to try the EX Kongo, only to take an Ultra to the face
